You don't know thermodynamics?

if it was it'd already be dead with 30 HIV mutations and terminal cancer from all the normie memes

no, you prove that it is

Can't dude. The Noosphere is real and we moving to the omega point,

Whoever has come to understand the world has found (only) a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse is superior to the world.

t. Jebus

lol, there is only one consciousness, and it is yours. everything else is unconscious, just like in a dream. even me.

Prove that the free market isn't a living organism.

>prove that the internet isn’t a living organism
Doesn't fulfil the requirements for life:
1) Doesn't grow anabolistically, it only grows due to external influence.
2) It doesn't reproduce.

>applies physical propiertes to bits
>doesnt know the turing test

Passing a Turing test doesn't mean that an AI is a live, it means that an AI is actually intelligent. Anyway, the internet isn't even an AI.

passing a turing test means the machine is sentient therefore its alive but its a different living entity

>passing a turing test means the machine is sentient
No, it doesn't.

>therefore its alive but its a different living entity
That's not the definition of life, see

It's made of computers you fucking spaz

yes it does the turing test expose signs of sentience and intelligence therefore it provides the proof that a machine is alive

>That's not the definition of life
Homeostasis: regulation of the internal environment to maintain a constant state; for example, sweating to reduce temperature

Organization: being structurally composed of one or more cells – the basic units of life

Metabolism: transformation of energy by converting chemicals and energy into cellular components (anabolism) and decomposing organic matter (catabolism). Living things require energy to maintain internal organization (homeostasis) and to produce the other phenomena associated with life.

Growth: maintenance of a higher rate of anabolism than catabolism. A growing organism increases in size in all of its parts, rather than simply accumulating matter.

Adaptation: the ability to change over time in response to the environment. This ability is fundamental to the process of evolution and is determined by the organism's heredity, diet, and external factors.

Response to stimuli: a response can take many forms, from the contraction of a unicellular organism to external chemicals, to complex reactions involving all the senses of multicellular organisms. A response is often expressed by motion; for example, the leaves of a plant turning toward the sun (phototropism), and chemotaxis.

Reproduction: the ability to produce new individual organisms, either asexually from a single parent organism or sexually from two parent organisms.

>yes it does the turing test expose signs of sentience and intelligence therefore it provides the proof that a machine is alive
Wrong.

It is simply a test whether or not the AI is sufficiently intelligent to be indistinguishable from a person. It says fuck all about self-awareness or sentience.

And the definitions of life you just posted proves that the Internet (not an AI either), is not living.

The Turing test does not directly test whether the computer behaves intelligently. It tests only whether the computer behaves like a human being. Since human behaviour and intelligent behaviour are not exactly the same thing, the test can fail to accurately measure intelligence in two ways:

this doesnt prove anything

simply because those terms are made with biology in mind if you remove the refrences and changed to a more tech style
the internet can very well be alive since the only way to effectivelly kill the internet is to cut 39 fiber optic cables around the world

The internet isn't any more alive than your bicycle is, you fucking retard.

Go be schizophrenic elsewhere, Lain.

bigthink.com/ideafeed/how-artificial-intelligence-will-create-a-faster-internet

oh its getting there FAST

>the definition of what's a living organism is X
>yeah but that's bullshit, if you change to Y then I'll be correct
are you retarded or just pretending

Nice copy paste retard. How do any of those apply to the internet?

I love schizophrenia posters

This is an interesting question. Human beings are living organisms. Are their cells living organisms? Maybe not as individuals, but are they alive? This is important when you then want to consider, say, a bee colony. Bees are living organisms. Can the hive be considered a living organism? Could we create a definition where a hive might be considered a living organism composed of an aggregate of smaller living organisms? If yes, then the internet might fit under those rules.

Bee Hive
Homeostasis: bees maintain temperature of the hive fluttering their wings at the entrance.
Organization: hive is clearly organized
Metabolism: could you consider the physical formation of the hive itself from bee by-products, as well as honey and royal jelly?
Growth: the hive and it's bee population grow.
Adaptation: I'm not sure I agree with this as a well-defined component to be considered life.
Response to stimuli: colonies will go to war/defend
Reproduction: Bee hives will produce queens, which will then fly off to form new hives.

If you can possibly set the groundwork for
alive=Hive{bees}
Then maybe you can argue
alive=Internet{people}

just spitballing

unironically kys yourself

so what if you find a life based on silica user?

gonna pretend it doesnt exist because the definition of life is based on oxygen like organisms?

Attached: 1515560283384.png (514x438, 20K)

Google baby webmind.

Are you really retarded? Have you tried to read ? If your silica based "organism" can check all these boxes, then it's alive. See viruses, they look like live beings, but the fact they can't maintain homeostasis, they can't reproduce on their own, they don't grow, they don't respond to stimuli makes them nothing but a complex assembly of molecules.

>statistics and heuristics means it lives
You're fucking retarded.

It doesn't reproduce or have a genetic structure to do so. It's less of an organism and more of a crystal.

Lilly was right. You anons just haven't done enough Ketamine.
