This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine timepiece.
>SARB033 on sale on local amazon, $320 >see it at work on tablet >go home to order from PC >mid-transaction page refreshes, item on longer offered by this seller >seconds before there were 4 left >some fucking dealer bought them all and fucked me I am so goddamn angry right now
Completed, sort of. I accidentally destroyed the new caseback gasket (put it in naphta and forgot about it) so I had to put the old one back for now. So no sink-diving yet.
For hands and dial I used new Luminova, and then soaked the hands in coffee, and put a drop on each lume dot.
>crappy quartz. The SNE437 is more accurate than a Rolex user, and the finishing is on par with Omega

A mobile phone from the 90's is more accurate than a rolex too but nobody gives a shit
Landon Nguyen
I do

hence the nobody qualifier.

Upper middle class is still middle. What I mean is, perhaps at that point it's more natural to consider it upper-class?
Hunter Brooks
im somebody tho

I wear a 42mm dive watch most days, that's not the point. CW uses vintage themes, then sizes the watch like a modern one.
Also, their new logo sucks balls.

Thta's dunning krueger syndrome. Stupid people are incapable of accurately evaluating their incompetence.
Blake Lopez
>Thta's dunning krueger syndrome. Stupid people are incapable of accurately evaluating their incompetence. I don't think that has anything to do with how accurate and high quality the SNE437 is
Are you retarded? That's not the argument presented at all.

I guess you drive a 1960 Ferrari as your daily?

As much as I enjoy discussing what I drive I don't see how that's relevant to people preferring quartz analog junk over a mechanical watch having poor taste.

I want to get a ticket on the SKX meme-train. Need someone to extrapolate on what i'm looking for though.
-Japan or Malaysia made? I know I can save some $, but I would feel better knowing it was made in Japan, and seeing "Malaysia" on the dial would make me gag. Am I being too autistic?
-Black Bezel, Pepsi Bezel, aftermarket? Which design is best?
-Regardless of what version I am going to get of the SKX, I am definitly going to put it on a MilTaT Super- bracelet. I have had the Super-Oyster before and it was very nice, but I am thinking about getting the Super-Jubilee, and possibly maybe the Super-Engineer. Thoughts?
i took this earlier today. the lume on this watch "charges" more easily than any watch i have ever owned, including my former skx. it's been cloudy and rainy all day but it gets so bright that it creates bright reflections along the inner ring.
