spaces are harder to type on the terminal. it needs \ / and i still cant remember which comes first

\ is used to escape things like space or *
or you can just put the whole thing in "quotes"

proper fonts show underscores so you can see how many there are but its usually not the default so you will just see a long line.

Fun fact: The underscore was originally created to form long lines. It was made for underlining text or creating form fields on typewriters. They aren't designed or intended to be distinct or easily counted.
