You need to bypass the book inspector and then access the cyber mainframe in order to gain our respect.
After that there are a few challenges, if you clear them you have to find a mentor to vouch for you.

So you want to be a hacker? It ain't no easy task kiddo. You should just stop now. Don't even try.
The most you can probably ever do is click buttons on LOIC and buy crypter packs on Nulled. Even
Cain is going to fly over your brain. Do you know how fucking hard hacking is? Pentesting is not for
the light-hearted. Are you willing to learn and understand a bunch of programming langauges? Python, Ruby,
and Javascript can probably be learned in days. Maybe a few months for Java. But C++? Haskell? C? Assembly?
And those probably are not even enough. On top of that, are you willing to get comfortable in a Linux system?
It's quite different from the clicky pictures you have on your RGB covered Windows gaming system. Are you
willing to learn sofftware engineering, OS development, networking, reverse-engineering, malware analysis,
exploit-writing, fuzzing, data structures, and all the other topics required to become a proficient pentester? Are you
smart enough to know how to perform a social engineering attack? Are you willing to learn Mestasploit, Aircrack,
Hashcat, Ettercap, and all the other tools a pentester needs to know? Or are you just going to download and run
wifiHAX_n0t_V1RuS.exe? Are you willing to understand computers to the hardware level? Are you willing to spend
years mastering and perfecting your skills? Are you willing to spend time everyday to stay updated with current
pentesting news? Just stay in your little gaming world, kiddo. Go show off to your friends and DDOS some minecraft
servers or click on open IPs in Shodan. You don't have the drive to become a real hacker. You never will.

fuck off

Wait Ed was a girl?

Define "hackerman". Do you want to be able to Watch through webcams via malware deployment and steal nudes from someones icloud? Or do you just want to be able to fuck with people?
If the former, then you have some work to do. If the latter, then download Kali Linux and watch some youtube guides. Unironically instant hackerman.
When pentesting on a professional level, yeah lots of knowledge is pretty good to have. But if you are just fucking around to see what you can do, learn a couple of easy languages, install Kali, watch some youtube guides, and then you should be able to do basic stuff like crack Wifi and hijack bluetooth/wireless speakers.

Yeah man, Ed was a girl

>Wait Ed was a girl?
Yeah. You didn't know that? You can't tell by her voice? She even say's that she's a girl.

>was
Pretty sure she still is. This came out before all the mainstream gender faggotry.

womp womp

>You can't tell by her voice?
It seemed like the voice was pretty androgynous for a kid.

2 scoops
2 terms
2 genders

>Ed was a girl
finish cowboy bebop nigger
right now

>Wait Ed was a girl?
Is anime really so vague and nondescriptive that you dont know a characters gender?

I did finish it, it was just a while ago and I don't remember them ever making it 100% clear.

OSCP/OSWP/BSIA here

Stay in school OP. Be the best of your class.

Her father outright says it.

NO BULLSHIT GUIDE TO BECOME A HACKER

1) Learn to use Linux at a user level. Ubuntu will do, learn to use the package manager, basic shell commands (cd, ls, mkdir, rm, and all of that)

2) Learn to program in an easy programming language like Python, play around with that for a couple of months.

Recommended: "Automate the boring stuff with python" and python.org official tutorials.

3) Learn all about computer networks.

Recommended: "Computer Networks: a top-down approach" by Kurose, Ross.

4) Learn Linux at a deeper level.

Reccomended: "How Linux works: what every superuser should know", "The Linux programming interface" (by as guy named Kerrisk, or something like that).

5) Learn C

Recommended:

"C Programming: A modern approach" by KN King
Modern C (icube-icps.unistra.fr/img_auth.php/d/db/ModernC.pdf)
The C programming Language, 2nd edition by Kernighan & Ritchie (more as historical reference, because it's a little outdated)
C: A reference Manual

By reading all of this, you'll have a solid knowledge base to do the rest. If you're still too retarded to know what to do, search network security on TPB and download whatever book appears as the most seeded torrent.

Honestly stuff like software engineering, OS development, networking, reverse-engineering, malware analysis, exploit-writing takes years to learn so i think of it like the difference between brain surgeons, plastic surgeons, General surgeons.
They all do surgery and understand a lot about medical field and how the body works but they know and are better trained in that area.
A true hacker would probably be like one that studied and preformed multiple types of surgerys but that's really rare and takes years.

That's a boring way to learn. If you where like me and are truly interested you'll stick around a few years.
Read sites like null byte to get more adjusted to the lingo and deeper look into the computer world and infosec world.
Steal some books. If you look around the internet you'll find some hacking and computer books that are really useful to learning and figuring out where you want to go.
Programming from the Ground Up is a cool book to learn programming if your just starting it'll take you though assembly then c++ teaching you how the computer works without bonging you down

there's also a scene where Spike refers to Ed and Faye as "the girls"
or maybe it was Jet
I dunno, it's been a while
