PSU orientiation

Just got this. Should the fan face downwards or upwards?

Outside the case is best practice.

Whatever way makes it fastest for aiding the kids in simple homework, as well as being efficient in running YouTube in 480 without it being choppy and incoherent, and best suited for a strong wifi signal.

I asked a serious question. The printings on the PSU seem to be illogical. The "hybrid mode" thing is upside down.

Dumb pasta. stop it. Not funny. S4g3

It depends on the case and case location. If your PC is laying on carpet and the PSU is on the bottom, the fan goes up. If the PSU is on the top of the case, the fan goes down. If the case is laying on a flat surface, and the PSU is on the bottom, it should be whichever side will aid in cable management.

Yes.

Why would you buy a $160 PSU and not know this?

That's a wireless stick for a xbone controller

Almost always have the fan at the bottom of the case. That way it draws in air when it turns on and doesn't interfere with the case airflow.

There are rare situations where you can have it at the top (to deliberately aid in negative pressure), but then when the fan is on it's pulling air away from the graphics card.

diagonal is the best of both worlds

IV. Power Supply Installation
1.
Place the Seasonic power supply into the space provided within the case and use the four
mounting screws provided in the accessory bag to secure it to the back panel of the case. Do not
over-tighten the screws.
a.
For
power supplies with a built-in fan,
the fan side top cover should be facing the mainboard.
(Depending on the type of computer case, this can mean either upwards or downwards
facing fan cover.)
b.
For fanless power supplies, Sea Sonic recommends to mount fanless power supplies into
the computer case with their ventilation cover facing UPWARDS. However, there are extra
mounting-screw holes provided on the back of the power supply to allow for reverse
mounting, if necessary.

the fan is an intake for new air, the back is an exhaust.

Fan down so that it doesn't interfere with your case's airflow.
