if something *looks* expensive, it doesn't have to be expensive to make though, you can scum people into paying more.
When you are selling a magnesium alloy product, it's more expensive to make, it's more durable in every way but doesn't look so shiny as aluminium.
Also, carbon fiber is even better than the both, it's even cheaper to make, it's more eco friendly to make and it's even lighter.
Aluminium is shit for laptops. it gets corroded by the human oils, it gets scratched as fuck, it's not stiff or strong to withstand huge vents or make grills out of it....
