All features come with a cost whether monetary or through design compromises. For me and most other people having shit like VGA and Ethernet on a laptop actively makes it worse. The ideal laptop right now for me has 2 USB-C(both capable of charging the laptop), 1 USB A, and an HDMI port. Anything more is bloat that I don't need and don't want to pay for.

The increasing prevalence of wireless IEMs will only accelerate this as less people care about the jack.
