The way I remember it, there were a lot less namefags around during July. To me, it seems like that number has doubled.

You know, I've basically stopped using my tripcode, due to me not coming on Jow Forums as often as I used to. My thought process was that if I am to use a name, I am making a sort of commitment to be active here. If I am to stand out, I should give reason as to why I should. If I am to slow down my activity (as in now), then I should instead not make myself stand out, not use a name, and simply contribute from the woodwork.

PNG was created in an effort to improve upon and replace the more common, as of its creation, GIF format. PNG, or "pings", have the advantage of not requiring a patent license, being platform independent, and being able to display more than 256 colors.
