First ban was during the peak of horse-posting on /b/. Last time I was banned, it was for wondering out loud how barneyfag hadn't been doxxed at that point.

People on Jow Forums these days who whine about bans really don't know how bad it used to be. In the past, if you were banned, you couldn't even view the site. There were also "special bans" that were given out that were like ISP range bans, but more powerful since it affected a certain cookie setting that wouldn't be deleted even if you completely cleared all your cookies. Top this all off with bans that happened "just because", and you had a ban system that was very unfair.

As much as people whine about bans today, the banning system is the most fair it has ever been.

I can't remember my first because I've been coming here since 2006 and back then people didn't get banned unless it was for a funny reason and I wasn't that funny. My latest was a day for trolling on /ck/. My most proud ban was like 5 days for starting the gay general threads on Jow Forumsddit and getting them to think that it was /lgbt/ raiding them even though it was us on Jow Forums.
