Is this still the best alternative to outlook?

It’s solid and free. Why aren’t you using it?

Yes.

Use mutt.

xDDD

how can i show sent items?

I'm currently using mutt myself, but if you want a good GUI client both Sylpheed and Claws are much lighter than Thunderbird and pretty good.

Yes.

It's fine by me, fulfill my email needs very well. I'm gonna tes Mutt in the future tho.

Thunderbird... i stopped using this shit in 2007
Airmail is a 100 times better but of course you need a mac

It's better than outlook, so yes.

THIS

I just looked up mutt and... it's a TERMINAL and TEXT ONLY client. Jesus Christ how autistic do you have to be to use that shit?

Welcome to Jow Forums. Enjoy your stay.

no 30 year old boomer would be caught without it

How is terminal email advantageous in any way?
Or to use an analogy, how is tying your hands behind your back when jogging advantageous in any way?

>30 year old boomer

Are you actually retarded or just pretending to be?

Because it’s more minimalistic and doesn’t render HTML mail, which was one of the main reasons for the EFail vulnerabilities.
Also, it’s far more secure in general.

>Command line tools aregenerallycharacterised by much simpler design, much fewer lines of code, and the non-existence of vulnerable code (Java, Flash etc)—all of which generally means better security (less bugs, more stability)
>I don't want my email client to include a web browser rendering engine or a javascript interpreter. The less attack surface, the better.

I’m an autistic ricing faggot, so I actually like using mutt, but whether you like it or not, it’s objectively a far more secure way of doing email. Plus you get to compose the messages in Vim! I highly recommend it.

Fair point, but wouldn't a properly configured Thunderbird client achieve the same result, only using a GUI?

>>I’m an autistic ricing faggot

>"""minimalist"""
Nigger, TWM are a joke. Shit is neither minimalist nor performant nor does it do anything that 5 minutes of FVWM or XFCE ricing can't do.
The only thing TWM minimize is productivity.

Stop referring to tiling window managers as twm, twm isn't even tiling natively

Nobody cares about your shitty twms, nerd.

Omfg your so dumb.
Twm is an actual window manager and it isn't an acronym for tiling window manager. Kill yourself normie trash.

Kmail is good enough for me.

it was never an alternative to Outlook as its missing Exchange support.

I'm not used to terminal aplications like Mutt or Vim but they're very powerful and customizable, you can make your workflow very comfy to the point you have no need to take your hands from the keyboard and use the mouse. Of course, some people who use them are autistic hipsters wanting to show off, but it's good anyway.

Do you realize that CLI email applications have been in use since forever, and then people "reinvented their email" for GUIs?

>Your

>your

>exchange in 2018
hahahahahahahaha

I use outlook on windows and built in mail on macos.

isn´t outlook something you need to buy?

Not sure if newfag or just stupid

Is there a maintained 64bit version?

I use it with Enigmail, Lightning, MinimizeToTray revived, and Provider for Google Calendar

TB syncs to my Google calendar. I also sync my Facebook events to my Google calendar on Google's end of things. This puts all my calendars on Lightning, which is nice.

It's not like Facebook's calendar is usable.

Back in the day we used netscape which had everything from browser to mail manager to web editor. They don't make stuff like that anymore.

Alright must be baiting, but I still say it
>embracing the botnet

I mean, I'm posting this specifically because I knew Jow Forums would hate it, but yes, this is exactly what I do.

I could probably cut out Gmail/Google Calendar if I really wanted to, but nothing I build will have that kind of reliability or uptime, so meh.

But there is no substitute for Facebook events.

>using MIME mail.
kys.

Yes, there is an official 64-bit release for GNU/Linux.

Why do you need a 64bit mail client?

no

Speaking of Luke Smith, he needs to finally shave the pubes off his face and reactivate his forum.

It is not the best alternative, it is the best email client.

Just use gmail.

>Claws Mail is unable to send HTML mail
>Sylpheed is unable to send HTML mail. This is intentional, since the developers consider HTML mail to be harmful.[4]
i use claws myself due to rss plugin, but its very minimal (and thats a good thing)

Kill you are self does not make sense. It's your.

Sylpheed is my favorite mailer on FreeBSD.

keep lurking

hahahahahaha this
tiling window managers are cool but just use one inside of a DE like a normal person... don't deprive yourself of utility because it doesn't fit in with muh minimalism and doesn't always make for sick Jow Forumsunixporn screenshots

30 year old boomer would just log in through the web browser on his seven year old budget HP desktop with a missing number key and a broken fan.

It's just the latest retarded 15 year-old insult - so probably both.

You are so dumb *

I use it for work. Much faster than outlook.

Looks like phone app, that's not a good sign.
