Overly complicated bs

Face it, Linux is shit and only used by geeks who want to feel superior. Name 2 things it’s better at than windows or Apple

I actually own the OS, i.e. full controll
Easier for development

Implying Microsoft isn’t secure

>Overly complicated bs
All operating systems are complicated software, user. *nix OSs don't hide that from you.
>So many versions you can’t keep track
It's very easy to keep track of them unless you're completely stupid. A quick search of the web "list of linux distros" is the most you ever need if you recently had amnesia
>Have to type in a command box for nearly everything
Poor baby

Windows is not secure. Windows is not priave. Neither is OS X. If you don't like Linux because you're a dumb nigger monkey who can't read man pages, then get the fuck off Jow Forums where you obviously don't belong.

I'm sorry you have such a terrible experience with linux. That's not something I share with you. Linux is pretty comfy desu.

> to feel superior
Feeling good getting shit done you mean.

>only used by geeks
That's the whole point, it keeps the lowest common denominator away
>name 2 things it's better at than windows or Apple
1. See previous part
2. Price
3 (bonus just for (you)). Not a shitty live service corporate maymay that lets (them) do whatever (they) want with your pc.

>so many versions
There are only two of any value: Red Hat and Debian. The rest are either spin offs of these two or one man projects.

>overtly complicated
No more so than Windows these days. The Ubuntu setup is about as easy as the Win10 setup.

>command box
Gnome and KDE have replaced the CLI for just about everything normal users need. Even in Windows, power users will use PowerShell where Linux users will use bash.

I don't disagree that Linux intended for a small niche group and should remain used by such people. The people who claim that it could or should have mass appeal are either completely naive or don't get that for most people a computer is a means to an ends, not something that they enjoy writing config scripts to get working.

>Have to type in a command box for nearly everything
Just use a modern desktop environment instead of whatever it is that Jow Forums typically suggests. The user experience is typically far superior compared to Windows.

what if I like my command box?

Linux can be easy as fuck for normies; see Android and Chromebook.

>it’s the daily anti Linux shill thread
Hi Pajeet! Stay comfy in your padded wall cell OS’s made to comply with the NSA’s secret PRISM program.

is your PC connected to the internet? then all your data is being collected anyways

Wrong. That’s only true if you use Windows or post-Prism OS X, or if you’re dumb enough to own an Intel Management Engine infected Intel processor.

Nice attempt at defeatis:though. Your going to have to work for the tough cases you filthy nigger.

got any proof for that?

If your OS isn't spying on you
>then your browser is
If your browser isn't spying on you
>then you ISP is
If you ISP isn't spying on you
>then the NSA is

Nah, we found out the NSA is pic related.

Basic security measures should suffice, nigger faggot.

>I can't understand shit therefore is bad

1. Work with almost any programming language
2. Convenient keyboard-driven WM

Kde neon is pretty good, so far I haven’t even opened a terminal window.

People always come in expecting everything they need to be served to them on a silver platter like a service type OS such as windows. You gotta go in expecting something much more DIY or else you're going to disappoint yourself

it is actually easier than windows, you are just used to using windows

also providing a comfortable environment for all kinds of programming / hacking. programming in windows just feels wrong

mv 'grep *.pdf' pdffolder

Feels like my code is being monitored remotely in real-time.
