Prime day is shit.

already seen it
nothing good for me

Helium tanks

Attached: download.jpg (500x326, 59K)

Nothing. Amazon are slimy cunts that jack up prices before Prime Day and then drop them to what they were.

Wasn't it pretty shit last year? All I remember is the discounted lube meme

Really? Based bezos

There will normally be at least one "accidental" crazy discount to encourage people to post about prime day on social media. But apart from that then youre right, prime day is shit

Had a quick look and it's shit, nothing I want.

thanks for stopping by
how's that tin foil?
of course.
>i'm old enough to remember...
you're pleasant
i'm 12 years old and what is this

another hot take, user.

No prime deals where I live.

From what I have seen from their upcoming deals section, it sucks

My hopes are to get like a nice bluetooth speaker, maybe a small SSD for my office PC, maybe a mechanical keyboard. What about you OP?

kys

yes. i'd like to get a small, modestly priced SSD for my x220 toy. maybe a good deal on some RAM. a decent drone ~$100. a good chef's knife. perhaps a mandoline. wouldn't mind upgrading one of my displays to 1080p.

i don't need any of this, mind you. but i'd consider these things if i felt they were decent value.

get out of here unpaid amazon shill

Is this a good deal?
I'd like to replace the shitty 120Gb in my X1 Carbon.

>i don't need any of this, mind you. but i'd consider these things if i felt they were decent value.

Same boat. Probably won't spend more than $150 if I even end up buying anything.

50/50. i don't think it's a bad price, but it's not something to brag about.

>Look for RAM because reckon something might be wrong with mine (copying to external storage isn't a 100% copy)
>Prices still high as fuck even on sale
Some sale.

Thanks. Guess I'll skip it.
Maybe in a 1/2-1 year when I build a PC prices will go down.

Dafuq you mean copying to external storage is not a 100% copy?
What storage are you using?
What file system?

SSD & HDD on NTFS and various external drives HDD, thumb drive, SD on different formats.

Say I try to copy a game or something to another computer.
>Copy file to external
>Fails to install or launch on another computer
>Try copying it several times until it works
>Bigger the files the higher chances of corruption

Everywhere I look points to faulty RAM causing it and I know it's not the externals devices.

>surface pro for £750
is that a good deal? Would be used for porn, netflix, and programming when i can't be at home

Deals page is not even loading for me

same

How the fuck are they not prepared for a high influx of people?

Now do you actually have to have Prime to see deals?

Attached: Untitled.png (230x440, 34K)

Bought a pillow.

ofc not, they want non-prime plebs to see them so they get tempted in

Getting ready for a good biting session?

SD's megathread

I guess it's just like others, site not loading for me

I got:
>Blue Planet 2 4K for £22
>warehouse deal: Sony WI-H700 Bluetooth earphones for £48

Shame no graphics cards were on offer. Could do with a 1080. 1070ti minimum. I got a 4k monitor but only a 390X.

Does the Amazon.ca Prime Day portal not work at all for anyone else?

UNITEK USB3 Gigabit Ethernet adapter: $4

discount code is MUMAG5XH. Pick the square one since it has a warranty, but will also work for the ugly one.

For some reason I got through on my chrome browser but I can't get through on my phone or firefox

Yellow Jacket 2885 12/3 Heavy-Duty 15-Amp SJTW Contractor Extension Cord with Lighted Ends, 100-Feet

If it's a decent price.
Makita shit had no good discounts.

it's kill

broken when i try and search for stuff

First thing you should do is calculate a checksum on the file when you download it, and append it to filename. E.g. a CRC32.

Then when you're about to install, recheck the CRC32 and see if it matches. That will narrow down the problem.

"Fails to install or launch on another computer" could be due to a lot of shit.

To check RAM, just use MemTest86+. Really if it were RAM problems, you'd be getting BSODs.

Different sellers for each version.

Jonny knows what's up, you'd have to get up early in the morning to catch him out. Greg however seems like a bit of a retard.

>i5-8600k and i7-8700k already sold out

Amazon will not be getting any of duckets today it seems

>was going to buy ram, mobo, and PSU too

their loss

Attached: bbf.gif (400x286, 1.57M)

Yeah it's down. They have this giant infrastructure and all sorts of tools, but still can't stop a crash. What a bunch of faggots. I have a BS and soon an MS in networking and sys admin and Amazon is always used as the good example of X implementation or tool.

I just wanted a monitor with a higher refresh rate than 60, under 250$.

I'll probably check out neweggs thing once its active.

What price were they

Reminder that Amazon runs literally the largest server operation in the world.

Sorry, I don't own prime. I just pay the $25 minimum to get free shipping, and since there's a warehouse in my state it arrives in 3-4 days.

Didn't realize Newegg is doing some sale shit today. When is it active?

>comparing summer sales to black friday last second holiday deals
I think your whole country is retarded honestly.

>one whole desk that kind of looks like shit
>it's L-shaped and wouldn't work for me anyway
>it's already sold out on top of that

Thanks, amazon. Even when I decided not to bother looking for tech or entertainment stuff this year and go for something practical you still manage to disappoint me.

Its funny you ask user, the prices were unchanged. Here is a screenshot of my build list on July 5th.

The i5 was set to $278 and was on sale for $40 off. The i7 was a similar story but was $70 off surmounting to its normal retail price.

Prime day is a joke lads

Ordered a pair of those Bose noise cancelling headphones.
Should be good; it'll hopefully mean I don't end up hearing the screams and cries of ankle biters on buses or trains when I'm trying to listen to Kraftwerk or something.

i just bought 500 sandisk 16GB flash drives for $150
gonna make an overkill RAID 10

>price hiking and rehashing the price for the same as a few weeks ago

top jej

sounds fun but won't that rape your PSU?

Great so you're telling me I saved no money? Fuck you bezos. Im cancelling my order right now. hopefully some other schmuck can take that fucking i5

>buying intel

Its active now.

i think they fixed the site

It's bad enough Amazon.ca doesn't work on their big Prime Day, but it's extra bad looking for them considering they're a big hosting provider: they can't even get their own site to stay up under load!

I need as much single core performance as I can get. AMD doesn't do single core very well. I'm not as happy about needing it either user.

I wouldn't hold out much hope. The fantastech sale thing says it 'starts now' on my end, and the first thing I see is an 8700k at $350 with a $10 discount code.
Scrolling down further, it seems to be the usual when with this sort of thing; newegg tries even less than usual because they know they can mark things up and still be less shit than prime day.

No. Seen 1 for 99 gpb somewhere on pcpsrtpicker

Attached: images (3).jpg (184x274, 8K)

pretty much but apparently there's also some good deals on car batteries

Any mouse deals?

Ironwolf 6TB for $133
amazon.com/Seagate-IronWolf-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST4000VN008/dp/B07BDV5HGF/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1531767407&sr=8-2&keywords=seagate+ironwolf&th=1

I just can't WAIT for the eventual AMZL fuck ups in getting these shits delivered
>AMZL fuck up four (4) out of my four (4) deliveries
>route all my shit to a nearby locker
>AMZL manages to fuck that one up still (not my order, but they put some other guy's order in the locker I was given access to. I returned it because I'm a good goy

>I need as much single core performance as I can get
for what unoptimized garbage?

>already sold out
>their loss

Wut, seems like they won and you lost

oh wow what a bargai-

CAD and Fluid dynamic simulation.

Shill

Attached: 1412119185046.jpg (250x249, 6K)

Anything worth anything always hikes its price up nearing the sale time. However you can get some dumb shit like a box of chips for $7.

Literally if its not gaming AMD is better at it
youtube.com/watch?v=1hwxlHhnpoY

Amazon.ca is completely kill

no, just a disgruntled customer. if I was a shill I would have recommended another brand as an alternative.

I'm almost embarrassed for them. This is bush league.

I have 4 seagate drives, ranging from 7 years old to 1 year, not a single problem, seagate is faster, more reliable and quieter than WD. How are you not a shill.

discounted amazon brand products no one wants
there's no longer any reason to use amazon for other products
why pay 70% markup on amazon counterfeit goods when you can get the same thing direct from china. only downside is the wait.

at an enterprise level, we bailed out on seagate years ago...started buy HGST and replacing all seagates. ~15k 2U servers worth...

seagagte sucks shit, bro.

I got a Kindle

I got a dick in my ass too.

Sounds fun. Hope it's a nice, thick one.

I wanted to get a cheap tablet with at least 2 GB of RAM to play some of the more demanding mobile games like that new Star Ocean game. Couldn't seem to find anything up so far except for Amazon's Fire tablets that are in my price range and are close enough to what I want, but can I use Google apps on those without having to root the system?

Attached: 1467559014176.png (453x466, 155K)

how long until you get your Amazon brain replacement?

but, why?

a shill is someone trying to sell something, which it sounds like you're doing with seagate and their weak ass drives. I've had nothing but bad luck with their expansion drive range, but my various other drives from competing brands are still running smooth many years later.

It's a highly-rated e-reader. Being able to take books with me when I travel sounds appealing. It was also cheap enough that I could easily afford to buy it and not have to worry if I don't use it a ton.

Trust me user, for the type of workload I'm having to do, we need maxed out single-core performance.

Long story short, its me, and about 5 other guys in a custom fab composite (carbon fiber/fiber glass) mold creation and part fabrication. I.e. we need to simulate the entirety of the part fabrication, the mold fabrication with cad, and use the fluid dynamic sim to see how resin in the autoclave will flow through the fabric and through the contours of the mold, and also use the machines for CNC g code path rendering and 3d printer instructions.

I'm the most recent guy on and I'm using a 3rd gen i7 and the other 3 guys including my boss are using Ryzen 5's and 7's and my machine already beats theirs in terms of computing out this shit, so they end up using my machine for some of the really heavy shit we need to do. The work we do is not what MOST people would do using these programs so I think for the type of workload the programs can't really multithread it that well, so we use broken up single core performance on select task running at once and it seem to yield an almost ~20% faster compute time.

I wish I could use AMD user, but for this we really just can't.

>Being able to take books with me when I travel sounds appealing
Yeah because books are so burdensome and hard to travel with

I bought a Kindle Fire 8 HD because my old 1 st Kindle Fire battery seems to be fucked. £60 is pretty good ngl

Kindle is easier. I also can check out books from my library and read them on the Kindle if I'm away from home and need something to read.
