If I can replace the OS with my own I'd buy one to use as a small desktop PC. Case looks great and it's pretty small. I've been meaning to get rid of my second workstation anyways in favor of a small form factor PC.

This is actually the best miniPC on the market now that they pushed memory from 4GB to 8GB. It's basically twice as cheap and slightly more powerful than GPD Win 2 (though the two aren't in the same category), and Win 2 can already emulate even PS2 games @60fps and run most games in 720p without issues. It's cheaper and more powerful than intel NUCs, and the only thing in this price range that's an actual competitor is MintBox Mini 2 Pro, but it's CPU is much weaker. There's literally nothing more powerful unless you're gonna pay $150+ more.

It runs tons of android "games" perfectly.

Linux can run a large majority of games. But this device doesn't have a dedicated GPU due to power efficiency and cooling so it won't run as many.
