Unfortunately, if you're using a laptop/desktop keyboard, you're stuck using pinyin (bottom left). So most people just use pinyin all the time because muh muscle memory.

Yeah I use pinyin on computers as well since I have a western keyboard. On phone zhuyin is faster since a single character can be equivalent up to 3 latin characters (爽 ㄕㄨㄤˇ vs shuang3).
