>QWERTY keyboard
>Hot-swap battery
>Hot-swap SD card
>a standoff
>Camera shutter
>Unlocked bootloader
>Desktop-tier Linux distribution
>OTG long before it became the norm
>Great design
>Fits into pocket
>Stylus
>Strong and dedicated community
>Multitasking
>Integration of apps into the core system

Would Nokia have the balls to make a new phone like this now when their deal with MS is finished?

>if Nokia wouldn't rush it
it wasn't nokia's fault. Microsoft forced them to use WP. N9 was a great phone but died instantly because of MS

Also
>Battery doesnt even last a day with IM running
>Crappy keyboard compared to older E90
>No multi touch
It still remains unmatched by any other phone in many ways, though. For example the camera (with shutter and two stage trigger button) was god tier.

Truly. Like a mad scientist experiment.

Backlit QWERTY keyboard*
Not to forget FM transmitter
IrDA to control your TV
Fucking 32GB of internal storage by default in 2009
Option to run several desktop Linux distributions and Android in multiple boot configuration

God I miss Symbian

Front facing camera
STEREO speakers
Headphone jack that could also output composite video
Dual flash

N9/N9XX ran Maemo and MeeGo.

Photon Q runs lineage 14.1. Pretty great these days.

I came only thinking about what the n900 equivalent would have been in 2018.

How can I move to the timeline where Nokia told MS to go fuck them self?

bluetooth and wifi too

>Headphone jack that could also output composite video
>connect N900 to TV
>hook up a DS3 over bluetooth
>fire up emulator

I still cry every time.

>resistive touchscreen

>two stage trigger button
WHY DONT THEY ALL DO THIS

Yes, you know, actual pointer precision with a stylus.

>stylus

any chance nu-kia could try to do something like this?

most phones don't even have a camera button anymore tho

Because now when the smartphone manufacturers reached the peak design that ought to be enough to anybody the biggest phone body construction dilemma is whether to make a display with notch or not.
Phone case design stopped progressing when the iPhone came out.

thats not how you use the term hot-swap, but okay.
otg isnt, you know what, nevermind.

And the stock micro-usb cable has a built in clip that makes it my go to cable for everything still today.

Many allow the volume buttons to be used.

>almost no one knows that the N900 has pressure sensitivity and that MyPaint runs incredibly well on it
>you can use the stylus or literally ANYTHING to draw on it with the sensitivity working just fine
>you can be the most autistic artist around, drawing and painting on a fucking smartphone from 2010

It was probably too autistic for 2010 and for this world in general

>hurrdurr my fat sausage fingers are perfectly fine to start my animu on my fone xDD

>resistive screen

Disgusting. Died for a reason and is NEVER coming back.

STOP IT Jow Forums IT"S DEAD
i ragequit mine with a sledge hammer after the microusb fucked right off

Your own fault for not reinforcing the port with additional solder.
It was a well known problem.

>reinforcing the port with additional solder
>It was a well known problem
lolwut

It's a well known problem for every autist who is still using one in fucking 2018.

I did it back in 2012 when I first got mine, everybody in autistic tech forums told me to do it

Still using mine to this day and it's working fine without the reinforcement.
Either mine is an unicorn or most people fucking yank on the cable all the fucking time like apes. Will just solder it back on in case it breaks one day.

Gemini PDA
