Fuck yeah, Spectras are awesome. It's a shame film packs for them are so expensive, though.

Fuck you man.
I was trying to be cool.
Jow Forums will never let me slide ever.

I still use a Zip drive.

I have like 50 of those filled with hurtcore but no read : (

need to get one

For what?

Not him but we have an old server that has one installed and the backups we make of our important info on it are never bigger than like 50mb so we still use a few in those locations, I think they are fine

Holy fr*ck that's comfy

>tfw i have no screenshots of my circa 1995 OS/2 Warp desktop anymore

IRIX was peak comfy when it came to high end Unix workstations. I got my first O2 used in 2005 for $50 when they were still dirt cheap.

What version of Classilla is this? I tried the latest version (9.3.3) on an iBook G3. It's 900MHz with a half a GB of RAM, so more than enough power for Classilla. It's running MacOS 9.2.2 as the only OS installed. The browser opens fine and starts to load the home page but crashes with that little bomb error and makes me restart the machine.

I also tried it in SheepShaver on x86-64 Linux using slirp as the network interface. It launches just enough to show the window and then crashes the whole VM immediately. Tried it in MacOS 8.6 and 9.0.1 with 1GB RAM for both. I don't know why it won't work. The terminal just prints out "segmentation fault".

Any ideas?

I'm running 9.3.3 too, and I've been using it for a while now. I've never gotten it to crash the entire system (or any program for that matter, but that might have more to do with how 'polite' the software I use is with the system rather than how good the system is)
Do you have all the proper extensions for that iBook? If you do, this sounds like either a memory or a motherboard fault. G3 iBooks were known for their motherboard failures.
About SheepShaver, I've never had good experiences with it on x86 hardware. Random failures out the ass.

Lotus Organizer 6.1: Still used on a daily basis. Wworks on Win 7 & Win 10.

Data in dBase IV ==> Import in TrueSync ==> Sync with Rex 5000.

Use it with Win 7 but also got a USB - Serial adapter.

Why would anyone do this?

Attached: 2018-07-20-000115_1920x1200_scrot.png (1920x1200, 243K)

The industry. :)
I saw more x86 solaris than sparc in solaris 8/9/10 era.

>Installing Solaris on commodity hardware
>Not installing a hobbyist OS on a $18k Enterprise 250 and SSHing into it from a Solaris machine to piss off UNIX nerds

Attached: 2018-07-20-001141_604x560_scrot.png (604x560, 18K)

that's nice. Sun dropped support for that in solaris 8. So I guess it counts has 90's comfy tech.

Attached: playing.jpg (640x372, 42K)

IRIX had GUI flicker. Carmack complained about it.

bait status:

>he still thinks anyone believes he was doing anything but shitting in his diapers in the 8/9/10 era

>shitting in his diapers
Trying to decipher m4 macros in sendmail can do that to you.

lol another LARPing thread

Nobody thinks you're cool, fuck off already.

Aww you missed the golden era of computing and you're frustrated. It's ok you can grab the outdated source code now and pretend.

Nah, I've just seen you pretending to be important in other threads and wish you'd shut the fuck up and stop projecting so hard every time someone calls you out on it.

You sound like you're roleplaying anyway with how vague your anecdotes are.

So i'm guessing I corrected you in some thread and so now you're acting like a pissed in your cereal. gotcha.

>VirtualBox
lmao

>corrected
lol. you just spout senile anecdotes that are probably fake anyway like they’re facts

So, what did I correct you on?
I assure you it was nothing personal.
Just take your licks and move on.

Nobody actually alive turning that time would shitpost like this

quiz me, kiddo.

stop trying so hard and shut the fuck up already

I'm sorry, I'll let you play with your dusty old ebay equipment and pretend to be a 90's Unix admin.

this coming from the roleplayer bragging about running a crusty old insecure slowlaris version on an x86 laptop

i think i rest my case

Attached: 37368047_1918048304925541_6090972132123082752_n.jpg (2048x1536, 185K)

The difference between me and you is I bought that laptop new.

I'm in..

Attached: hackerman.png (353x54, 2K)

sure thing sport, did daddy get you a new copy of slowlaris for it from work for you too or did you download that on your own after you read about it on wikipedia?

hackerman doesn't care about security. He's even running a web browser as root.

Got it for 99 bucks like everyone else.
Or did you think solaris was expensive in the late 90's?

quite a waste of money for an “industry” professional who claims to have worked with it, so how long did you have to save up your allowance for it?

>quite a waste of money for an “industry” professional who claims to have worked with it
You can't pirate in industry, champ.

no offense, but it looks more aesthetic in 24-bit

even on windows 3.1 you want at least 256 colors to have a meaningful experience (beyond typing office documents or playing solitaire, minesweeper, or wep)

lol what the fuck
bringing shit home for personal use was absolutely routine back then just as it is now, have you even ever worked in any kind of IT job?

this alone tells me you’re a fucking roleplayer, stop posting already

look kid, I was configuring cisco 1900 enterprise switches and 3com total controls when you were still shitting green.

oh look guys i’ve got him name dropping random shit he found in a google search for “90s network equipment” trying to keep the facade up

cute as fuck

That's 16 not 256

>he doesn't know about su
>thinks the whole session is root

>uptime 34 minutes
You powered it up, made yourself an after-school milk chocolate and pb&j logged in as root to post a screenshot in your favorite 90's Jow Forums thread.
There was no su involved.
Now either learn troff or power it off so your mom isn't paying for wasted electricity.

>because the machine was turned on to take a screenshot means there's no su involved

No seriously, Little timmy.
Write your high school papers in troff. Your teachers will love you. It's too bad Solaris forgot the pic preprocessor in Solaris though.

who are you trying to convince here?

Little timmy and his hundred dollar sparc.
Having difficulty following the thread?

I already have an Enterprise 250 running 24/7, why would I have a 280R sucking up power too? Of course I turned it on for the screenshot.
Nah, I ran it as root. I use this machine to mess around only, since the USIIICu eats power like a motherfucker.
I'm bad enough with WYSIWYG office programs, I don't think I could handle that.

does this help you to sleep at night? what others think of you shouldn't affect you this much

Thanks Dr. Phil.
You kept me from adding a tripcode.
Lifesaver you are!

Whats that player?

no problem kiddo

It was €5, bought it as scrap. I'm not spending that much money on a Sparc machine unless it's a V440 or something similar.
At least he's bumping the thread, which is good.

sleep tight comfy sun

lol you couldn’t take the heat from me but you still want to hang around and project your insecurities on people who know way more than you ever will? haha get a trip you pathetic piece of shit

He gave up because you got too close to the truth.

>lol you couldn’t take the heat from me
Post something meaningful, tough guy.
