London UK,
31C earlier, office is 28C
CPU reaches 70C running tensorflow

Going to ask work to buy me a 1080.

About 15:00 38°C feels like 45, i3-6100 but it's weird
60° under load

What's the weather supposed to be like next week? More of the same?

Bonus: This girl takes staying in the kitchen to a new level.

>Going to ask work to buy me a 1080.
So you can benchmark their AC?

London UK

i7 8700K / 40C

Well, depends where you are. Here in the UK we're going to drop into the early/mid 20s over the weekend. Then back up into the late 20s/early 30s next week. But at least we'll get a break for a few days.

Our ACs fucked right now, hence the 28C in the office. Last week, it was also fucked and stuck in "arctic".
The WiFi reaches to the local pub, so I might just do my work from there.

>have AC
>too cheap to use AC
>even when it's 35C
>computer room gets warmer than that because it faces west so I have to close the window in the afternoon or the sun is straight in my eyes

Cambridge, still 30° in my room.
Also Ryzen Threadripper, but speccy shows a wrong temperature and I can't be bothered to get a new app.

I bought a portable AC but wasn't delivered yet, read mixed reviews so let's see if it will help.

Sao Paulo - Brazil

i5 - 71C

>71C

That's pushing it for an i5 isn't it?

36C is pretty fucking horrible as well, good luck over there.

I always wonder if people feel any responsibility for contributing to climate change.
sometimes you HAVE to because there's no other way to get to work except through a gasoline engine, because you're either too far for a bike, or can't afford an electric, or there's no infrastructure to pump natural gas.

on the other hand I think of cases like cryptomining which are plain bad for the earth and will only get worse with increasing complexity, mining and transactions

and there's pic related. microsoft not fixing that shit allows tens of millions of PC's to be stuck in an infinite loop searching for updates. that's quite a few wasted gigawatts

Its how previous civilizaitons perished. You see stupid shit like this and its a testament as to how it happened before. Here the earth is becoming a clam bake and governments around the world allow a group of jackasses to not only waste electricity but dump insane amounts of heat into the environment for a ponzi scheme. Just about every point in time in which there was a collapse in human civilization there was peak resource misallocation. Shitcoin is one of those things.

Tomorrow it will rain anyway.

>I mean, we have two air conditioners and a fan is right behind me, so me and the PC are both fine.

My dude knows how to do it right

>another datamining thread
nice try, CIA

delete this

put my cpu to mac turbo mode because in my room without ac it would melt, right now I have the ac on but whatever, saves battery just for browsing
