August/September 2018 is an amazing time to build a new PC.

Stop making this shitty thread.

Not the i9

God forbid talking about technology on Jow Forums

I hope the release of new cards will bring down the price of pre builts PC's with current gen cards. A 1070 is all I need.

Stop posting the same shitty thread with the exact same words

Buy the 1170

Dont buy a fucking 2.5 year old card for gods sake

Ok ill change 2 words in the next thread

Answer me please. What's wrong with the 1070 if it can play any game? Why would I need a 1170? Unless it's super cheap, there's no reason to buy.

Because he needs a microscope to see his penis and the only way he can brag to his buddies is by having the 11xx series.

Attached: 1519392891458.png (352x288, 16K)

Keep in mind that the 1180 will be in extremely short supply at launch. I'm going to wait a couple of months before I buy one.

You're assuming that. But even if demand outweighs supply, it's no reason to not even attempt to get one. These things will likely only increase in price over time, barring the occasional black Friday or boxing day sale.

Can't wait to grab a 1070ti when prices fall further. I'll grab an 1180ti next year when I upgrade my monitor to 1440p.

It can play any game now, but what about in three years? Would you have bought 970 in april 2016?

>Better than 95% of all results
>Still worse than the remaining 5%

Stop with this thread you fucking gay retard

They have to include it since their shitty FE cards throttle since they reach the thermal limit with only moderate workload.

...

OH NO NO NO THIS CANT BE HAPPENING IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE OUR YEARS AMDBROS

Attached: 1518256744102.png (653x726, 35K)

Yes. I'd even say with a 970 I wouldn't even think about upgrading either way, unless I'm into 1440p.

I am waiting for next years zen2. Will definitely buy 7nm cpu. And if new mobos will come with extra stuff I will get one too. If not will keep old one.

In half year you will be able to buy 16 core 5 GHz 7nm Ryzen3 instead this pile of 14nm+++ shit

>Ngreedia
>He believes the prices will drop
They will raise the price of the new cards and keep the price of Pascal cards the same. It's good business when you are a monopoly.

nothx

Gtx 1180 is even necessary yet

Well we knew this was coming. But basically Intel had to jury rig their Xeon line to get this out there.

>>unironically considers Intel for a new built

>Cannibalize
Also this is 5Ghz locked using some heavy cooling setup. No doubt about it.

Why, I have a 2700X and 1080 Ti. I'm of course hyped for the 12 core 4.5 GHz+ beast that fits in my socket next year, but I don't really need it. I'll buy it only because its cheap and to make Intelfags buttmad.

founders editions are better than shitty custom coolers you dumb fuck

>cheap i9
This CPU is something that Intel had the ability to release back on Broadwell or earlier, but didn't because they knew they could make the stupid goys buy the same shit they had been putting out for 4 years already. Fuck Intel for their anti-consumer ways. My low-mid range $200 phone was released in early 2015 and has an 8 core cpu, what's Intel's excuse?

>more cores equals better

then why does intels cpu with lesser cores beat amds "CORE BEATS"

Not even meming but ASUS nvid cards are goat tier.

Which is 5820x on 1151. Who the fuck cares.

op is an intel shill. no one is buying their trash cpus now.

>5820x
5960x
whatever

>Cannibalizing your Xeon line to compete on the desktop
The absolute state of Intlel

What the fuck. Who does this?

1180 is going to be a minor bump over 1080, but that doesn't stop Nvidia marketing spinning into being the best thing since sliced bread

9900K is going to be a disappointment. It is for retarded idiots a.k.a gaymers who fell for 200+ FPS and 4K meme who somehow think they *need* eight cores.

For workloads that actually utilize more then four threads. Dual-channel DDR4 doesn't cut it. The ring-bus topology becomes a bottleneck as well. I'm not going factor in thermal wall it will run into. The 8700K barely hits its turbo speed when fully loaded with a decent HSF. 9900K is going need a massive HSF/AIO to reach its turbo speed when fully loaded.

wrong
1180 is volta tech and not pascal

>XFX above MSI & Gigabyte
loooool

Nope, it is going to be an tweaked Pascal (namely updating for GDDR6 support). Nvidia axed all of stuff that makes Volta special. Protip: None of it does anything for gayming usage patterns.

Why do you think they are giving the customer-tier stuff a completely different codename?

We already got a very good idea on how 1180 will perform from Titan V. Why do you think Nvidia is trying to clear out its Pascal stock well before the launch of "Turning"?

its confirmed turning is not pascal
get rekt

There is no conrete proof of Volta architecture as of this time.

Yes. But only because of GDDR6. This is in the same vain as Ivy Bridge not being Sandy Bridge from all of the concrete evidence so far.

wrong turning is using 12nm and pascal is 14 nm

Attached: vegangains.jpg (1280x720, 60K)

People actually buy Ryzen, or are you just one of those AMDrones constantly shilling AMD products and slandering Intel?

I hope you get paid, user. I really do. Otherwise, you've been doing all of that for free.

now bring a card with working drivers that deliver.
you can't. and you're to poor to buy Titan V

the year intel doubled down on single core performance cause they scale like dogshit and last year Ryzen made all but one SKU, in a very niche position, absolutely obsolete. to continue to fuck intel dry released 16c/32t for a laughable low price and will double down this year with 32c/64t ON THE SAME SOCKET FROM LAST YEAR.

Attached: 1529567124804.jpg (757x627, 87K)

I don't buy shitty crippled GPUs

Attached: voltablockdiagram.png (1278x728, 547K)

Yes and Sandy Bridge was 32nm and Ivy Bridge was 22nm, you are proving my point.

>1180 $699-749
>1170 $599
>1160 $499
I'm so glad I don't bother with new/FOTM games anymore

Attached: 1451927185550.jpg (479x376, 32K)

Unless you have 1080 TI SLI and still need more frames in certain games I don't see how a new GPU series is relevant

>Intel i9
Already worse than threadripper

Paid shill, probably on two payrolls at the same time.
>People actually buy Ryzen
Guess why Ryzen is more than half of Amazon Top10.

>Intel launches 8c/16t mainstream desktop CPU
>AMD slashes price for 1950x to match the price of it

Attached: 1531913917498.jpg (788x524, 133K)

ah yes, i forgot how much better a 175w cooling solution is than a 250w one.

>Guess why Ryzen is more than half of Amazon
cheap garbage is always popular on amazon, poozyen shill

Pny is shit chink garbage
Asus support is horrible but pray you doing get a doa. Nice products if you never have to use their support or send anything back
Sapphire is good
Evga and zotac are good
Powercolor is shit except their red devil series (devil only. Not red dragon)
Gigabyte and msi are still okay for motherboards but not much else these days
Xfx and zotac are fine

64c? Why?

1180 is going to be another 200% generational leap like Pascal over Maxwell

But its meant to go against threadripper

>Turing will barely be more powerful than pascal
>it will cost more than pascal
>Turing will exist alongside pascal
>pascal will live for 2 more years years

14nm++++++++++++++
