1080p 144hz

1440p 60hz ips

really should be 4k60hz or 1440p 144hz.

1080p shouldnt be around in 2018.

now listen here

anything above 60hz is a meme

Translation: Are you an artist or a gamer?

1440p 120hz

I have a 1440p 144hz monitor but run it at 120hz most of the time anyway.

Keep in mind that 1440p is still pretty pathetic next to 4K. It's less than HALF the number of pixels. Picture a whole other 1440p monitor right next to your current one, and that still doesn't completely demonstrate how many pixels you're missing out on.

Of course that's only relevant if you're using them both at 100% scale, and to do that at 4K with typical eyesight you need 32" minimum. Most 32" monitors are still a bit overpriced. Even so, I couldn't really recommend anything less for a new monitor purchase.

1080p 60Hz is enough

??
Wouldn't contrast and actual color depth be far more important then?
And priority on VGA/DVI since both of them lack limited color ranges by default? Unlike HDMI/Displayport where you need to find a setting for 4:2:2 YUV to even get proper color range?

T. worked in a office with Intel GPUs without control panel installed, so can't set color range

>Artist
>VGA
>2018

lol

I have a 27" 1440p 144hz and a a 43" 4k 60hz.

(109PPI vs 103 PPI)

1080p 144hz would be 91 ppi , even more difference.

1080/60

1080p 75Hz IPS FreeSync Masterrace

If you're video editing or drawing then you're not using Intel graphics at all. Also DisplayPort should support Full RGB out of the box, but you can change it in the drivers if you need to.

>masterrace

The best is 4k ultrawide 100hz refresh.

The fact that he's seriously considering 144Hz implies he probably plays games at least occasionally, and 4k is difficult to run games at 60fps without at least a 1080/1080Ti/Vega 64.

too bad the panels are fucking garbage, horrible edge bleed, horrible brightness uniformity, horrible color uniformity, just overall a shit show of panel lottery, and even the best panels generally aren't stellar.

>tfw am both
>can't decide

I'm not I'm just getting peoples opinions

He could still run games at lower internal resolutions (1080, 1440, 1800) and scale them up. This is what almost every console game does, for example. Then when he gets a new GPU he'll some a good use for it.

1440p 144hz

Have the Dell 27" 1440 144hz with Gsync, would recommend this. Can push 144hz on games that need it (CS:GO) and you have nice 1440/Gsync for everything else.

I've been using a 40" 4K monitor for a few years now, anything less feels extremely cramped now.

4k 120hz ips and a titan V

to be fair, if you can run a given application/game/whatever 4k60fps you can usually run 1080p120+fps, but not always 1440p144fps

it should be 4K60Hz vs 1080p240Hz

1440p 144hz

1440p 165hz VA is the only correct answer.

Everyone that chosed 1080p 144hz should fuck off to /v/

>When you're a poorfag who has never seen 144hz in person

165Hz is a Gsync thing for some reason, (it's just a factory-overclocked 144Hz panel, 1440p/165hz maxes out DP1.2) and VA panel manufacturers tend to be friendlier to Freesync, especially Samsung.

4k 60hz, I don't have autism

where did all these ESL motherfuckers come from?

>when a poorfag on Jow Forums tries to pretend to be a richfag despite my 4k monitor costing more than his 144hz 1080p tiny shit.

>he doesn't oc all of his monitors

God forbid we believe in response times

That's TN tho 2hich is absolute nigger quality

24" 1080p@240Hz
or
27" 1440p@144Hz
everything else is shit. 4K is only good on TVs
