there is literally no refuting this

Justice moral perception=man kindfull.
Now back to lit.

There's a million legitimate counterfactual reasons to this:

1. I'm buying a birthday gift for someone and I want to surprise them.
Etc...

Depends. I agree in terms of being nice to people. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. That doesn't mean everyone should be an open book, that we should let someone know everything there is to know about you.

I do not believe one should have to share everything there is to share about oneself tho. Even tho you might say nice things to people, that doesn't mean everyone needs to know about your genital issues or every single opinion you might hold (no matter how controversial). His kind have gone too far, and have passed way into creepy territory. If I knew as much about my neighbours as he does, I would be fined for stalking.

But for what reason you should hide that from the government? Are you buying illegal drugs or something alike as a gift?

The exception proves the rules.

Not at all. For example I don't want people see me have sex with my gf, even though it's not a bad thing, it's just private.

All Google, FB etc. executives should have a camera installed in their offices and homes, so people can watch them 24/7, then we will see how they feel.

Why should the government be privy to birthday presents?

>if you're hiding it from Google, you must be hiding it from everyone!

>But for what reason you should hide that from the government?
Principle. Governments haven't been known for being transparent and going so far as to establish another bodies of NSA's capability.

What if the person I'm buying a gift for is one of the government employees with privileges, authority, and access to review transactions? Now, the surprise is lost!

Or, if not... what if one of those government employees sees me buying the gift, and decides to extort me. They'll spoil the surprise if I don't pay $50k. This could be avoided entirely if they didn't know in the first place.

>stop being gay
No.

So by his logic, people shouldn't be resisting totalitarian governments like North Korea and Iran because they would need to hide those activities.

>(((Schmidt)))

Is this real? Holy fuck

>Are you buying illegal drugs or something alike as a gift?
Maybe I am, it's my private life & I'm not hurting anybody, government should have nothing to do with it.

Fucking Bilderburg kike rats

Last I checked, Google wasn't the government. At least in my area.

You must've be living under a rock when you missed Snowden and PRISM.

FUCK OFF WITH THE KID POSTING YOU PEDO FAGGOTS

Patriot act / PRISM

Keep up this shit and Jow Forums will be blacklisted by google. Mods should know about librechan.

How new are you?

Imagine if people sperged this hard about any other vanilla harmless image posted here. Imagine if the mods unjustly perma banned for other completely within the rules pictures in posts that pertain to the thread topic.

All of you need to die desu

Please write your real name and adress in this thread. I mean it doesn't matter, right?

This. There are legit reasons to hide something

>being this butthurt because called over for PTHC spam
Yes, you are a fucking trash. Use Jow Forums or /b/ for this kind of shit. They may love it more.

>it doesn't work in every case, thus it works in every case
Fuck you.

Say Elbonians are secretly planning an attack on people who believe in Zorblax.
Say Google, through their search history and DNS records, can list who visits Zorblaxian sites.
Say Elbonia gets good of said list as part of a larger agreement regarding a joint defence agreement against Molvania.

Even if the US claims to love Zorblaxians oh so very much, it has inadvertently fucked them real deep up the arsehole.

Now replace Zorblaxianism with individual liberties and Elbonians with (((statists))).

Look up what pthc actually means before slinging around words without meaning you stupid fucking newfag nigger. Those were literal Instagram pics you stupid braindead fuck.

>Jow Forums or /b/

Riddled with as many newfag nanny fucks like yourself.

What reason does the government have to know what I'm buying? I'm entitled to my privacy unless this is an Orwellian government in which case I'm out.

People always have things they don't tell people about. Lots of people don't tell their friends and family about jacking off or watching porn because its private, but are you going to argue jacking off is wrong? Should it be illegal? The fact is your friends won't just make fun off you cause you jack off, they'll make fun of you because that information has been made public. We are vicious social animals, we don't judge people for what we think they did wrong, we judge them for what gets them a low social standing, you can't be the guy who defends the other guy for jerking off because that in turn will net you ridicule and lower social standing. Any information a person has on you can and will be used against you, they tell you a variation of this fact when you get arrested, but it truly applies to all your life, it makes sense for people to try to limit how much others know about them. As well, most people are uncomfortable with naked or revealing pictures of themselves being out there, should they never get naked lest feeling guilty?

I wonder if he still believed this when it was revealed that he was cheating on his loony wife with a member of the NSA?

This is a worksafe board, that shit isn't worksafe, even if it's technically legal.

Anyone who advocates this stance should be required to livestream his entire life 24/7 and publish a link so anyone may watch at any time.

N-no g-goy, y-you see... I-im Jewish. That means it's against my religion, you understand I'm sure. But for every non-jew, it should be mandatory. Good idea, thanks for bringing that to our attention, goy.

>Instagram pics of girls aren't work safe

God better not have any pics of your daughter or niece on your phone you dirty pedo!

Having pics of your daughter is one thing. Having pictures of a stranger's daughter is something else entirely.

>Having pictures of a stranger's daughter is something else entirely
Exactly, why the fuck should I let the government jack off to pictures of my daughter?

Literally makes no difference as to the image content. Fuck off you newfag rat.

of course he is, you're always right against a strawman. the question was always about choosing who you share it with, not "not letting anyone to know"
it closed years ago

There are stuff that nobody needs to know.
Say I want as good a source of entropy as I can get, say for seeding session keys, and providers of entropy are willing to give it out anonymously. There is absolutely no need for the government to snoop on it.

Did he really say that?

they probably already do, we all know (((who))) controls them after all

Yes, it was a bit of a controversy at the time, but has since been forgotten.

disgusting pedofiles

kill yourselves you subhumans

>my wife sends me pictures of my daughter on her birthday while i'm away at work
>friendly interloper agent n t wants to sniff them in transit and wank to them
>i don't want him to
>i'm the paedophile
Fuck you statecuck

>my everyday example is a strawman
>(((schmidt)))'s absolute overgeneralization isn't
Wanna know how I can tell you're a cuck?

Most people are clueless about the surveillance state in its current low-key form. An equal amount of people have given up or never cared about privacy because they do not understand its importance.
A word for those who think it is dumb to worry about privacy because you "never do anything wrong, so who cares?" While this argument is specious, the importance of privacy in a republic is not about you personally. It's about the government, bureaucrats, officials, judges, and legislators; the folks who need to operate without undue influence from blackmail and knowing secrets you should not know. This sort of information is then used to influence officials in ways that hurt the public at large—that's you. Lax privacy allows these situations to develop.
So facial recognition is another technology that invades our privacy. Do I want anyone knowing I am at the Giants game rather than at work? No. But is it fair to your employer to be cheating like that? What if my employer or my wife or anyone could know where I was and what I was doing at any single moment? Do you want that? Buckle up because we are pretty close to it.

I don't want my normalfag acquaintances to know all the degenerate shit I do in my own time. I don't want that to be used against me in a social setting.

this

His physical appearance infuriates me. Am I alone?

i bet that whyte boi snorts coke thouuuugh
id like to know bout dat

>whyte
Why is this becoming a word now?

Yeah he should install only glass bathrooms in Google HQ

what r yall even talking bout tho lmaooo

"White" is spelled with an "i" not with a "y". Did you go to school?

the whole point is that i want to do things and not have them recorded. /thread

lets restrict our hypotheticals to the possible

is (((he)))? I do not know. But I know why would (((he)))) say that. it may be connected to (((his)))) business or something.

Then let's restrict (((Schmidt)))'s bold claim as well

I might give more weight to it were he to let us all examine his personal correspondence. All of it. Until then he can either put up or shut up.

cnet.com/news/google-balances-privacy-reach-1/

He ought to know.
In fact it's his business to know.
Google wants to know everything.

I am no man

Looks white to me.

It's not about now wanting people to know what you're doing it's about having a private life. You wouldn't want people rummaging through your mail even if you don't have anything to hide.

Schmidt's a moron with no foresight. Just like Google. The nothing to hide argument falls flat on its ass because nobody will predict what will be illegal or socially acceptable in the future and you can bet your ass since it has your identity attached to it, you'll be held up to the standard of the day for things of the past.

Prime example: Paula Deen had her career destroyed over a joke she made 30 years ago.

Prime example 2: Owning any firearm in any year in California.

You have so many more reasons to have privacy than you know.

Attached: 1532142908476.jpg (300x225, 14K)

If it's a federal crime to read someone else's mail, it should be a federal crime to read someone else's email.

Alright cool can Google give me a download link to their collected user data? It's not like it's private information or anything (:
