fuck you

Yet another redesign? The fuck?
Anyways, surefire way to kill brand recognition

system 2 but change the second row with system 1's icons

Why?
The original looked great and covered everything you needed to know just from the icon. A globe representing the internet, and a fire fox around it. Peak performance, plus nice to look at.
This is just boring shit, looks like a generic ad ridden phone app normies without standards use.
Cheap. Minimalism should go and stay go.

>looks like a generic ad ridden phone app normies without standards use.
Just like the browser itself, recently.
I have to admit, at least they know their Target audience.

So... it's gitlabs now?

I think that literally every logo redesign that every company or organization has ever done has been a waste of money, brains, and time. Once you have a recognizable and recognized logo, there's no reason to ever change it.

>Once you have a recognizable and recognized logo, there's no reason to ever change it.
That's what GNU/tards actually believe.
gnu.org/graphics/package-logos.html

Mozilla needs to layoff 95% of their designers.
Bunch of monkeys inventing pointless work so they keep getting paid.

I think, no, I'm sure your life is worthless.

What were they thinking?

what the fuck

still tehbest

Attached: 7Ih60Gu.png (1024x1024, 743K)

Who cares? It's shit browser for SJWs.

Botnet please.

lol

I hope GitLab sues them

Just make the Phoenix logo more professionally executed

Attached: Phoenix_0.1.png (862x580, 69K)

>what's important
making new logo for the project
>what's not important
making good soft so people will use it

I have a strange feeling they're browsing Jow Forums

Both shit. Also are they trying to change the logo every years now?

I bet this has something to do with webrender being on the final stages of implementation (speed ups aren't in yet though)

It's trash.

They look pretty cool IMO

>“As an icon, that fast fox with a flaming tail doesn’t offer enough design tools to represent this entire product family,” Mozilla designers wrote

What the fuck does this even mean? Why would you not use your wildly successful, universally recognised symbol for every icon? Isn't that the whole point of an icon? You don't see Coca-Cola swapping their iconic font out when they launch a new flavour.

>when your logo quality forms a bell curve

>if we change the logo, maybe people will use our browser!

shruggy wuggies

uwu

System 1 is good, but the bottom 5 icons are better on system 2. So that would be good.

>designed by transwomen with love

It means it's not inclusive enough, fucktard, the fuck you think it means!? Also: Marxists hate quality.

Attached: 1522666319606.jpg (3216x2136, 462K)

...and that's a good thing

It means they're looking for a logo for their brand as a whole, including programs that aren't Firefox. It's not really a Firefox logo, it's a Mozilla logo, but rebranding for brand awareness.

I always change utm_source to some pornsite.

Attached: 15316934696885185.jpg (720x548, 84K)

You forgot the question mark

Well the first logo is just GitLab and the second one is just a circle.

Why so many colors and shit?

Attached: firefox-rebrand-systems.png (2000x1675, 539K)

umm no?

colours are nice

Did Mozilla just bought Gitlab?

Fucking based.

Attached: 93EC1EBD-4B74-470A-B1C2-A46C8756A1ED.png (129x129, 17K)

Colours make shit stand out if you've got the whole set there together. You see this on a lot of preinstalled app-suites on android phones, for example. Their designers act as if people are just going to have all *their* apps on one screen next to each other, either through retarded ignorance or just that it makes the set look better when you present it to your boss.

i don't know what anything outside of the second row is supposed to be

Represent alternative services offered.

Attached: testing.png (411x763, 127K)

Easier to tell icons apart. This is why monochrome icon packs and material design icons are trash, you can't properly distinguish icons.

Minimalism is the cancer that is killing design.

Look how nice the old logos had looked (minus the bird design of course).

Attached: 3375.jpg (1692x588, 93K)

>his software's logo isn't turtles having sex

Attached: logo.png (180x145, 34K)

Classic design mind

Attached: 1531666358691.jpg (960x540, 44K)

Left is some gay Google PlayStore shit.

Note - we are seeing a new evolution in graphic design. Decorative gradients and texture are being reintroduced into GUIs. Blurry glass panels and decorative animations. The age of flat design is over.

That's a fucking sick logo. Tjere are way worse logos in that list.

I like it

This

the fuck, why don't they fixed memory leaks on their product instead of this shit?

>What do you guys think?

Attached: thoughts.png (430x267, 63K)

> The age of flat design is over.
Thank fucking god. I hope we can return to the 2000s design of making every fucking thing glossy, I unironically loved that.

why can't this stupid flat-minimalistic-design trend die? it makes everything look cheap & poorly designed.

lol

Attached: gitlab-card.png (480x240, 13K)

how's this look user

Attached: phoenix.png (1120x988, 37K)

2009 is worse than 2013 though. The tail is too dull.

Didn't they just redesign the logo last year?

delet

What's your idea of a good design?

why is that fox fucking the earth?

I always open my camera instead of my clock on my phone because the icons are almost the same color

Attached: IMG_20180731_082005.jpg (231x734, 42K)

>What do you guys think?
That I was right when I ditched Firefox for Chromium after the Quantum.
Looks like they will add even more shit like pocket and chat with her event every year instead of a better browser

gnu.org/software/recutils/faq.html
What is the name of the turtles?

They are called Fred and George. And yes, they are both male.

pretty much everything designed pre-2015. the old 2013 firefox logo is still the best looking one

Does your launcher support custom icon themes?

Attached: icons.jpg (1552x900, 403K)

This is relevant and accurate

>I always open my camera instead of my clock on my phone because the icons are almost the same color
Are you retarded or is this bait?

Firefox has been bleeding users for a decade and is close to the point of irrelevance now. The only thing people seem to recognise about Firefox's branding is that they want nothing to do with it. So why NOT change it? What do they have to lose at this point?

And don't say "hurr durr their loyal fans", because If all the fetid shit that Mozilla has forced down your throat at this point hasn't made you switch, a logo change sure isn't going to do it.

>left is meme tier india app degsin
>right is literally what does that even mean.

I can't even tell what half of those icons are supposed to symbolize

2030 logo, everyone.

Attached: firefox.jpg (710x1000, 131K)

I am retarded

(Actually, now that I look closer, they're both kind of circle-shaped, so that doesn't help)

Attached: firefox-sobre.jpg (673x358, 53K)

Nothing beats pic related. What's wrong with a logo that acutally represents the company, instead of shapes, swooshes, and gradients.

Attached: Firefox-logo.svg.png (1072x1024, 348K)

>represents the company
*the product

Attached: 1531239627364.jpg (512x512, 166K)

where's the fox???

2004 unironically the best

Exactly. It has a perfect colour scheme, perfect contrast and a very recognizable shape. Overall 10/10
Why the fuck they would get rid of it is incomprehensible

but they already did that.. moz://a remember?

Sucks balls
Anyways I don't expect anything from Mozilla's design team, they even fucked up the display of the site on a 1080p screen

Attached: mozilla.png (1919x1049, 91K)

It could've been kinda cool if they had invented a new amazing "moz" protocol, where accessing moz://a would actually lead to the mozilla website

>cancer

What a good use of funds and time, I'm glad Mozilla is dedicated to finding specific ways to annoy their own dwindling userbase.

>let's change things
>oh no our users are leaving and they say it's because our changes were in fact bad
>let's keep pushing on the things people openly dislike
>WHY ARE THEY LEAVING, WE'RE CHANGING THINGS! LEADER NOT MASTER!

Yeah, that would be actually pretty cool, but they fucking need to fix this shit, that looks like crap and I'M USING FUCKING FIREFOX

i think we're on to something here
as user already mentioned the constant logo shifting only dilutes the brand and makes it less recognisable by confusing people, they are literally only wasting money AND killing the product

>Phoenix
For them, now more than ever, this would be so fitting.

>only use Firefox because it does things other browsers don't
>they start removing those things
>there are no alternatives besides using old versions or forks maintained by literally who or yourself
what hell is this?

>finally make a logo using :// right when distributed content-addressed systems are becoming all the rage
/9c2f924fb2f7004e7979ab2027ca1d65/top/kek

They're not even aware of their products

I wish they'd stop chasing fads and do their own thing. Is this what happens with your company is bloated with women?

Looks like the final boss in an RPG maker game

2005 was so comfy

I was looking for this to post it

The right one looks like the swirling water of a toilet full of bloody shit from a faggots raped anus.

>a new protocol JUST to link to a website
oh yes, and getting ads injected into our bloodstream is also an amazing idea!!!!

OP's pic related is not the proposed firefox icons, it's the master brand logos.
