garbage user was the prophet. meme list is right.

now tell me your fetish(s)

How much did you get them for?

I know this is htg but what's a good sound card for my PC as my onboard has died, I have a USB DAC powering my HD 598s but I need something for my ModMic 5.

I probably paid too much for them $1000 AUD including the srm323ii energiser. The amp is 240v the headphones have new earpads and are in excellent condition. The energiser has also been serviced tested and warrantied. I preferred the sound of these to the l300 and l500 I tested and the l300 alone in Australia are like 700 alone. Made more sense to go for this combo.

I think that's a good price, as you also managed to get the SRM323. Hope to find something like that when I get into Stax.

How does hpg feel about audio technica?

My DT770s finally died after nearly six years may the rest in peace. I'm after something closed to replace them. I was looking at MSR7s - they're a touch more but that's not really an issue. The detachable cable and the little extra portability they offer seem appealing.

Is this a good choice? Is there anything you folks would recommend instead? Thanks.

if you can find a cheap set of sr-303 jump on them, theyre good enough for me to put my hd800s up for sale, didn't feel the same about the l300

get new 770 if you like them

my favorite line is(for educational purposes): "it looks like freedom but it feels like death, it's something in between I guess- it's closing time"

I like them, but I'd like a change. I see myself probably repairing the DT-770s in The Future anyway.

Also Leonard Cohen is the second greatest songwriter ever

Jesus Christ it's so fucking ugly

Daily reminder not to use headphones for a prolonged period of time and keep the volume low. You will damage your hearing.

You wouldn't care if you heard what they sound like. I'm going to be selling off my HD800s and HE500 soon.

you can't register there lol

i'd go open headphones if you can, closed sound terrible.

But they sound like any other shitphones without eq

I have HD650s and they're amazing, very happy with them. I also need a closed pair

wow you guys actually didnt meme me into shitphones, thanks Jow Forums.

Yes brother, I never personally tried these.
Are they comfy? Please rate comfiness on a scale of 1 to 10.

whats a good pair of wired earbuds for under 100 dollars

Hi Idol, I wanted to say hi

Brother I wish I watched that OVA with like a couple mg of weed. It was good anyway though.

earbuds or IEMs please be clear

Completely wrong

Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The song's animated sequence is pretty good.

they're like having your favorite pillows gently pushed on both sides of your face out of 10

either or. I just want something light with good quality sound

I like the HD381 but I have them EQed

Yeah, the quality on gogoanime.se kinda sucked though.

Seesh, I suggested FFF's release, which is fine.
I wish I had a toto and not the shitty toilet I have.

I know someone who just bought a focal clear and fully decked out lyr 3 after watching like one tyll review or something.
They seem to be fucking metal HD650s looking at the measurements.
Has anyone here actually heard them?

Attached: headfones.jpg (1637x1229, 1.37M)

Go try them since you know someone. And tell us about it, ffs.

are the massdrop 60$ "EDC" iem any good ?

I mean the build is insane right they're probably the best looking headphones I've ever seen but I think he got ripped so I was just checking for opinions. I don't trust the big headphone forums all the users are insane

enjoy the noise floor
anything by creative is fine. if it's just for mic support, try one of those sub $10 usb adaptors.
not enough people have heard the mid/high open backs, too many m40/50x memes.
fiio, 1 more triple, jays
plus or bust

how is the sound quality?
i feel like i screwed up getting Superlux headphones instead

You should survive fine while you save up for your HD600.

They’re closer to HD600, they can be a bit bright at times. Just imagine a more aggressive HD600 with more detail, speed and bass. They’re very good, but I don’t know if it’s quite enough at that price category when you have estats etc. stuff competing.

thank you user
I will
these superlux ones are my first ever proper headphones with good ratings after all so i hope ill be good while i save up for big boy stuff

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll get some L700 (aiui the good "neutral" stax) at some point.

Still lower then yours buddy

The D50 is finally on Headamp but they don't ship to Canada. Fuck. Looks like I have to order from Taobao after all.

Weren't they supposed to release it globally?

it's out in china and the usa now, but buying stax in canada is like buying anything else nice in canada-- a huge pain in the ass

W-what about the EU?

How come that nothing else handles guitars as well as Joseph Grados?

Attached: 5B437D95-A8A0-4FDC-91D4-917A7B09BF96.jpg (1024x684, 72K)

garbage

no idea but I can't imagine it's much easier or cheaper than in canada, really asia and the usa are the best places to buy just about everything and the rest of the world it's harder

I kinda wanna own Grados someday. I like the idea of that simple, adaptable construction that you can modify in any way you see fit.

Attached: word-image-5.jpg (1170x1170, 138K)

What are those IEMs?

So what do you use /hpg/

Attached: 1507690727447.png (358x168, 5K)

Whatever's the best mastered I can find. Especially with jazz albums some rips sound fucking weird despite being higher quality on the paper. Especially those fucking 24 bit bedoom vinyl rips.

"Hi.I have Shanling to play a file, fiio q1 mark ii to decode, then take the aux out to A5 for amplifying.then the earbuddy out to increase dynamic range.final signal go through aclear porta nip 01 for isolation to earphones"

What's your excuse for not being at this guy's level?

Attached: O4LVTe9.jpg (719x1060, 99K)

Are cheap audio interfaces with both input and output any better than realtek?
Would UMC202HD reduce static noise on modmic or should I go for Scarlett Solo or some other $100+ box?

>no PEQ
I still get better sound than him even if I were to play out of my laptop's jack lmao.

linux

>Especially with jazz albums some rips sound fucking weird despite being higher quality on the paper. Especially those fucking 24 bit bedoom vinyl rips.
Fucked up rips or Windows fucking up its resampling?
Anyway, re-encode those fuckers down to 16/44.1. Now recording and editing is another thing, but for the final product those weapons-grade autistic hi-res formats do pretty much else than take up a shit ton more space.

We get it, you vape.

WHAT?!?

I don't know, it just seems like there are people hell bent on getting particular vinyls on the torrents with no regards to the hardware they're actually recording them with. There's just as much that can influence the sound at the recording end as there is on the playback end.

Have five of them but use mainly two, the DT880 at home and the V-Moda M80 on the go.

Thanks anons.

Is that a IED?

I set it to the highest bitrate possible. That way everything is upsampled or native. For me that's 24 bit 96khz. I don't give a shit if windows upsampling isn't perfect, it's not like anything would be audible anyways.

I'm looking for the exact same thing. I don't want to stick something inside my ear, just something comfy for when laying in bed with laptop etc.

Vivo XE800. I like these quite a lot but cable is giving up after a year of use. Unfortunately discontinued.

HD600?

Attached: 1513342565646.png (1920x1080, 1.68M)

Not yet. I was going to grab the HD580 but /hpg/ swayed me away saying they werent worth the $100 a guy was asking for them.

I'll probably get the HD6XX sometime in the future.

TIN Audio T2
you can get them for 35$ on aliexpress with some trick (you can find it on red***)

Damn... Must be shitty to download a big ass vinyl rip only for it to turn out some half-assed job done on sub-optimal gear & gear settings. Gotta consider myself lucky then, as I've only come across really well done vinyl rips myself so far. Granted, I only got like 10 or so.

more likely is you can't tell the difference between a good and a bad one

Is that loss?

Finally? 6 years is pathetic for a high end pair of head phones. I definitely wouldn't buy Beyerdynamic again
