The GPU in the 2018 iPad is not the same as the one in the iPhone 7. It's the 6 core (as opposed to 3 core) version of the GFX chip.

No. Google abandoned Android for tablets, so it won't have a future. It's running on slow hardware from last year, which can't even run the display smoothly because it's so big. And it's bloated with Samsung bloat that slows down the system even more. The pen is also mediocre. Get an iPad Pro, which has a 120Hz variable refresh rate.

iPad Pro is only known to throttle while recharging the battery and pushing the graphical limits at the same time. Things slow down a bit more in that occasion, but it's better than the Tab S4 which will lag out of the box, while there not being any real productivity apps (other than MS Office) existing for it.

Source? Samsung already beat the iPhone X despite it having like double gookbench scores. As far as I know apple uses very poor cooling on all of their products so I'm assuming the iPad pro is no different. pic related iPhone x proof it constantly overheats and thermal throttles. After an hour of the test being done again it locked up for a solid 5 minutes with the "iphone needs to cool down" message.

You guys are all stupid and not noticing the pricetag on these things. Tab S4 is $650 with free stylus but iPad pro is $750 with $100 butt pencil. The only thing the iPad pro gives you free is chronic overheating and thermal throttling issues.
The point is that atrocious spec is still faster than apple trash due to overheating and thermal throttling problems. But by all means get the ipad pro just remember to leave it in the freezer when doing anything even moderately demanding. To each their own.

I'm still using my Tab S2 and it's great for what it is.
But this thing looks silly.
It's way more expensive, runs Dex which is Samsung's desktop skin of android and hasn't got great specs.
I feel like if you want one of these 2in1 tablets you should either get a Surface or a cheap chinkshit alternative.

It doesn't emulate x86, you fucking moron, the bootloader will be locked, just like every samsung android product, ever. It has samsung dex, which is basically just an android wm, and it does NOT run windows applications.
Also the tab s4 has 4GB of ram, while the price equivalent from Microsoft comes with 8GB, and much faster memory.

No, I advised him to look at a laptop, a Surface or an iPad Pro. Because the Tab S4 is last year's CPU with less RAM than usual for such a device. Plus the fact that it runs slow and laggy Samsung bloatware which they are infamous for. It literally looks like a shitty deal. As for the faggots that say the iPad Pro throttles, there has been no evidence posted of that, I'm not saying it doesn't at all, I can see that it could throttle in some cases, but even then the specs are way better than the Tab S4.
