I don't really see the point in going from the DT880 to the HD600, have tested it before, it would be a borderline sidegrade. But i'll will keep an eye open for the L700.

I have never shilled the 600. It's a mediocre value headphone that barely improves with EQ. Whereas the HD800S has a couple FR issues out of the box that are annoying but once corrected blow the 600 out of the water. I'm just commenting on how brainlets leave fidelity on the table by refusing to EQ.
Why do people suck off the Sennheiser sets so much if their sub bass rolls off so hard?
I went from the DT880 to the HD 600 and I don't want to use the DT 880 again. Switching felt like a big improvement for me.

Don't get me wrong, i understand why people would preffer it to the DT880, but i feel that they simply are good at different things. For me it doesn't really work as an upgrade, although i'd probably enjoy having one too.

I don't know if I like this new flat SPL sound signature better than the equal loudness contours flat sound signature though.
Now I can have all 3 grail sound signatures.

I think the 1990 is worth it on build alone. I do also think the bass is much better than the 600, but not everyone cares about that I guess.

How are they?
Need [(frequency, Q, gain)] for:
- HD600 -> Harman
- MSR7 -> Harman
You have to do it for your own HRTF otherwise the treble will most likely sound off.
Unfortunately I can't make decent measurements, so public ones for other new driver HD600 / msr7 is the next best thing.
But If I like what I hear, I might go the measurement route.

Positionin isn't the only thing, you have to take into account your ear shape and size, ear canal diameter and stuff. You'll want to run a sine sweep and note where peaks and dips are. A peak at 7.5K is "normal" but it should be even otherwise.
To do this properly I'd need a reference, and I have no reference.
Which is why I want to just turn hd600/msr7 into ideal harman. That'd be a decent starting point.
