No, buy another motherboard goy.

Yes, however for 6 core CPUs you need to:

Short pins AB35 and AC35 together on the CPU(so that the mobo detects CPU in socket), and cut off the pins on the motherboard that corresponds to the pins AK27 and AJ30. More modding needs to be done on Asrock boards.

Next, you need to mod your firmware. You need to ensure the Intel ME engine is not the latest version, and also have various mods set in place. Many forums cover this.

However, since the older Intel ME engine which don't block the CFL processors are vulnerable to exploits, you may as well run ME_Cleaner with the /S flag while you are at it. You will need a SPI flasher to flash the modded BIOS anyway so this extra step is easy.

Intel is shit and ryzen is better so the point is moot

All x86 CPUs are trash.

And arm is usless facebook machine shit and power gets raped by epyc

Nobody uses Epyc, don't be silly.

no one uses housefire power

The most powerful computers in the world use Power, you geek.

>imagine being this much of a sped

Who would have thought that x86 software quickly ported to Power9 would under perform against x86. Wow!

Shit linux support too

Shit for music as well

It's extremely niche as a desktop machine, so that's not surprising. It's for high end application. But you are aware of that.

I was going to reply-
>Except not a single one is in the top500
Except, that'd be wrong now - apparently a LOT has changed since November when POWER was basically non-existent on the x86 dominated top500, June2018 numbers drastically change that though.
Now 3 of the top 10 (and Number 1 spot too) are POWER9.

who cares about a niche market almost exclusive to governments when the majority of server/workstations are epyc/xeon

The people who make CPUs and GPUs.
Since even though only 2 or 3 sales might happen a year, it's often 5 million or so units with massive support contracts.
HPC is a license to print money.

Because mass market application is determined less by power and more by broad software optimisation.

>broad software optimisation.
x86

Yes, most software for low level use, such as in a home, is written and tested with x86, so it performs better on that architecture. Most computers that use Power run their own software.

>Incels too dumb to figure out themselves
not even suprised

Intel users are certified brainlets

n-n-no! power is good! Jow Forums memed it so it must be so!

>intel users are too retarded to check for themselves

>buying amd poo ever
Fuck of Rasheed, i'l buy intel even if your poo cpu is twice as powerful

Congrats on proving his point, poo in the joo.

>AMD
>Hires Jim fucking Keller
You know that Intel hired him this year, right?

Just as keikaku'd

Epyc is like an 80% cost reduction on the server market.

It's also inefficient and objectively the worst option. It's a hobbyist CPU at best.

>It's also inefficient and objectively the worst option
source: Your Ass

Why are x86 fanboys so insufferable?

Because the alternatives are infinitely worse.

That is demonstrably false.

High end space heating power isnt good at anything

Stop spewing reddit tier memes you absolute faggot

prove it
