First disconnect the computer tower. Then take it outside and blow the dust out with a purpose made device.

Second take what you can off the desk. Get a wet wash cloth and wipe all the dust off.

Lastly glass clean the monitor and put everything back.

I take everything off my desk every time I'm done for the day and go to sleep. This way when I need to clean my desk it's easy to just wipe it down.

Every morning I clean my desk. Takes like, 2 minutes.

Every morning before I start the day right after I've showered I give it a quick dust and a tidy up. Most of the time it doesn't need tidying because I've actively made sure to throw away trash as I generate it and not horde more than I need on the desk.

The best advice is a nice trash can.....like its so fucking easy to keep a desk clean.

Do not try and clean the desk, that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth...there is no desk. Then you'll see that it is not the desk that is dirty, it is only yourself.

You spend dozens of hours moving shit between your bed and desk every year. What a waste of a time. Though, I guess it serves at motivation not to keep shit around that you don't need.

If you keep alot of crap on desk invest in shelving. If you have trash keep big trashcan nearby.. Form follow function. Synergize!

Ideal is a bin that'll last you all day that you can just empty as part of your morning shower/shave/shit/eat/tidy ritual.

when I moved out from my dorm to an apartment I decided to not fill it with crap and only bring the essentials with me aka things I use. The first thing I abandoned is books since I have bought an ebook reader and even if I wanted to reread something I would just read it on a ebook reader and it was pointless to have the books just collect dust. With a very few exceptions if it hasn't practical aplication and I won't use it at least once a week it doesn't have a place in my apartment.

Also I spend 5 minutes twice a day to remove and arange crap on my desk. So yeah it simply requires puting minimal effort into it
