Is there any reason to buy AMD (GPU or CPU ) if you are not poor?

Is there any reason to buy AMD (GPU or CPU ) if you are not poor?

Yes.

No.

Vulcan

>if you are not poor
Yes. If you are rich, you can afford more servers with amd

32c/64t my dude

big server farm big compute munch munch

hey hype beowulf cluster my dude

If you need over 6 cores.

If you want to stay rich.

lots of ppl do math dude
cad ppl would love this
so would anyone dealing with shit tons of data
good code runs in parallel nowadays
get better engineers

>CPU
Tons more compute power. Much fewer security holes than Intel. Similar performance in games to Intel counterparts.
>GPU
The only thing compelling about Vega right now, is its performance in OpenCL applications. It destroys the 10* series in compute. Not sure if it'll do that anymore, though, as Nvidia are about to release new cards.

High end AMD CPUs completely destroy everything Intel has to offer. The GPUs suck.
>OpenCL
Literally nothing then.

Not having a time bomb under the heatspreader.
Not having to delid it.
Superior productivity performance.

Not supporting the company that practices some extremely anti-consumer practices.
Also enjoying the supreme quality of Sapphire GPUs

>The GPUs suck
Now that the prices come down, AMD GPUs do what they were intended to do. Vega 64 competes against the 1080 and the Vega 56 competes against the 1070. There is literally no reason to buy a 1080 or 1070 because the AMD products beat them.

i don't see what you're talking about here, amd gpus are trash and are overpriced due to mining, and amd cpus are destroying intel right now

AMD processors are actually superior to Intel right now, quite the rarity.

Vega is a shitshow though.

>GPU
Good Linux support, unlike shitVidia.
>CPU
Not even half as many exploits as Intel has. AMD is worth investing into. Buying Intel feels like throwing money away.

>amd gpu
Never buy them
>amd cpu
Maybe if its good for your workload

>Vega 64 competes against the 1080
Let's see..
>twice as big TDP
>more expensive
>almost identical performance
No, it's shit. Vega is trash.

Thank you for giving me an excuse to use this image

Yes, not giving money to JewVidia.
I refuse to give the kikes at Nvidia and Intel a single cent.
I don't care that Vega 64 doesn't beat the 1080Ti.
Sticking it to the jews is good enough for me.

>more expensive
Not true.
At MSRP Vega 56 and 64 are cheaper than their Nvidia counterparts.
AMD cards also have better software/drivers. Shadowplay is unusable, as is the whole GeForce experience garabge, Nvidia's control panel is also outdated garbage.

>Jewvidea
Implying AMD wouldn't do the same if they were able to.
Just look at how they behaved during the mining scams, amd liked your shekels then didn't it

>but what if
But they didn't.
No shekels for Njewdia from me.

>moar corez
AMD has had 64 core servers since 2011, Intel has since 2015. You'll have to use a better argument than 'moar corez'.

>Sapphire GPUs
Or you could, you know, get the #1 acknowledged consumer-friendly best customer service GPU brand EVGA.

Like they did with 7xxx, r9 2xx series right goyims?

Twice as much heat and power consumption. The Vega should cost at least only half as much as 1080 or have over 50% better performance to justify this shit. It's inefficient.

intel beats AMD in the price/perf ratio, so AMD CPUS are actually a luxury product

a bait worthy of Jow Forums
have a (You)

If you need monolithic architecture (low latency applications).
