pathetic
use GAB or GNU social

20 rupees have been deposited into your account.

I would assume because most people on Jow Forums aren't interested in social media - besides 4chins - in the first place

>They claim it can't be shutdown - in turn censored
>Everyone can host their own services
CP.

There is CP in the bitcoin blockchain and I don't see it shutting down.

No there's not.

Yes.

Well shit, I guess I've been proven wrong yet again! Very convincing point you made there, pal.

The difference between a decentralised service and a decentralised network run by a single company is major in regards to legal action.

>it's OK when a group of us spread CP but not this company!
uhh yeah see how that works out for you?

>Implying I said it's OK
>Not seeing the point, that it is by far easier to go after a company than it is to go after millions of individuals
Are you being retarded on purpose?

>that it is by far easier to go after a company
Company has no liability for what users post.
So I guess it is different in that the person posting CP in this hypothetical situation takes all the heat.
Same dude.

>Same dude.
Sorry to burst your bubble, bot not him.
>Company has no liability for what users post.
Company has liability for moderation you dumb fuck. Sure google could link to copyrighted material and help provide access this way - but no, regulations prevent it. Stop shilling your stupid shit.

what do you do with it? do you need irl friends? what's the most popular the of content shared? what's special about Sola as opposed to FB IG etc?

>Company has liability for moderation you dumb fuck.
Yeah, no. They can either actively police everything or only respond to requests, which is much easier and safer legally.
I'm not at all interested in this stupid shit but, I went so far as watching the video on the front page. It seems like GNU social, they say it's decentralized.
So most likely they do have the ability to moderate content on their node or whatever, letting others chose what to allow and what not to. The main company's shit won't get fucked up and some sicko could host whatever he wants.
>Sure google could link to copyrighted material and help provide access this way
They do.
>Stop shilling your stupid shit.
I posted You should report OP for advertising.

When will people get tired of the social network meme.

>Yeah, no. They can either actively police everything or only respond to requests, which is much easier and safer legally.
Which is exactly what google does.
And my first post was obviously mocking their claim that censorship would not be possible.
Either censorship is theoretically possible or you're in a legal tight spot.
