I unironically like firefox
There I said it

>Currently running Waterfox
>Heard it was compromised
>New PC next week
>Thinking of switching browsers

How's Iridium and NetSurf?
I like Waterfox but not if it's compromised.

Pale Moon was good but lagged when I watched videos.

elinks is a cool web browser for cool people

All the big five absolutely suck, it seems that Firefox sucks a little less, but only my a infinitesimal margin. Google Chrome remains, as of today an utter fuckup, one tab open on Jow Forums consumes nearly 1 gigabyte of RAM.

I was in the exact same situation, switched to UngoogledChromium, fast as fuck and secure, already installed.
Ublockorigin.
History Button.
Download button.
iridium.
Privacy badge and cant remember if anything else.
Comfy fast and secure, no turning back for now.

Redpill me on safari.

Remember Netscape ? It is like that but worse.

Chrome is pretty good.

How is the Falkon browser?

Just tested NetSurf and it kept freezing upon loading.

Too bad, looked like a nice 90's throwback web browser.

Internet Explorer till the grave

Testing Iridium (64-bit Windows 7).

Back with results in a minute.

ok WHAT

Be more specific

Using Brave. It's alright except for one thing that annoys the shit outta me, when you mousewheel click whilst moving the mouse you select text. They acknowledged the issue and said it was going to be fixed in the 1.0 release.

Currently running Iridium and I'm enjoying it.
I will be switching from Waterfox to Iridium when I get my new PC assembled.

> it kept freezing upon loading

Sounds pretty realistic to me.

this guy fucks

is Opera the only option we have now?

lynx has better bindings

Source on the claim of compromise?

Anyone else been having trouble with pages loading in Firefox within the past couple of weeks? I'm guessing it was an update that screwed something up, it doesn't seem to be happening in other browsers. Maybe like 1 out of 5 pages won't load properly for any site and I'll have to keep refreshing until it finally works. My internet is fine and I have no issues with anything else. Tried resetting Firefox and it didn't help.

Having the same problem on my end too.

netsurf crashed and average of twice a minute for me, sucks on x86
iridium is ok but it isnt ungoogled.
adblocker is a mess, greasmokey is a joke.
if you mean presto opera (12.18) then yes
seamonkey/palemoon offer the best experience of current alternative browsers

What’s better, Ungoogled Chromium, Iridium, or something else entirely?
(If you’re going to recommend something else, it had better be notably better than the others and have no ties to Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc.)

links2 has a graphics mode -g and has seen newer updates.

>How is the Falkon browser?
Not that useful if you want a really lightweight browser, but it offers some decent functionality. It's adblocker can't replace UBO and greasemonkey isn't as good as violent-/tampermonkey, but I was surprised that it even had those to begin with, since extensions are no priority according to the devs.

Firefox has the best engine, privacy options, potential security, ability to block more shit, the most features out of the box and has about:config. So it's objectively the best browsers. It's forks aren't too useful, except Tor browser (for now, it will be cancelled because of Firefox Fusion) and IceCat which is a libre oriented Firefox ESR.
All browsers based on WebKit and Blink are shit and the only feature they have is speed. The least shit Blink browser is Brave so if you don't want Firefox or anything based on it then use Brave once it reaches v1.0.
Browsers with other engines are irrelevant and have significantly less devs fixing potential security issues.

It's basically a chrome skin in Qt.

>Iridium
It's fine.
>Waterfox
It's not compromised, it's just useless and outdated.

No, it's shit.

Firefox > Brave > IceCat >>> Iridium > ungoogled chromium
>no ties to Google
>lists chromium browsers

i remember you fucks on this board were absolutely WET for brave a couple months ago, is it still any good?

Those were shills, Brave won't be good until 1.0 which will take a few more months. The only thing that will be better is Firefox.

>useless and outdated.
elaborate
werks fine on my machine

I have a problem with Iridium. Usually, in any browser, when you middle click a tab it closes. Same thing with Iridium. However, I use two monitors and when I middle click a tab, Iridium goes to the other monitor instead of closing the tab. With one monitor it works just fine.
I'm not able to find a fix online.
Do you guys have also experienced this?

>outdated
It's far behind the stable Firefox
>useless
It's only purpose ever was to deliver a 64bit Firefox, which Mozilla has been doing for years now.

it has addons and it werks i don't see any other issues
or am i missing something ?

I use waterfox, with Iridium as secondary browser, and a few others for experimental tasks. (Brave, PaleMoon, Otter, tor-browser)

>It's far behind the stable Firefox

That's a bonus.

Vivaldi is what real men use

Just built a new gaming rig with Windows 10 LTSB. Rec me a browser, Jow Forums.

Basically illusion of choice between Edge, Chrome, Firefox.

Edge>=Firefox>=Botnet Chrome
Then we have Apple Browser if you're unlucky and Opera is absolutely not a choice unless you're a Chinese forced to use browser developed by your country.

Only wangtards use IEdge

>Chrome performance is better
>Rapes my battery

And it's the least battery and ram consuming.

Also that's why it's an illusion of choice: only 2 of browsers are multi platform.

Qutebrowser is unironically the only sane choice. Here are the reasons:
>makes no requests to any data mining platforms like *fox browsers or even IcaCat do, for more info check out spyware.neocities.org/articles/
>Has mostly Vim bindings allowing you to browse using keyboard only! It supports mouse as well for normies.
>Uses Google's rendering engine which is one of the best, sites are cristal clear without any botnet
>Supports bookmarks like the rest of the browsers, but also supports user-defined macros for making keyboard interaction easier
Only con is that it doesn't support addons I think although I may be wrong.

Doesn't matter when wangblows takes so much battery and memory.

>missing something
Everything, read the post again.

>That's a bonus
>vulnerabilities and lack of new features and performance updates = good
Fuck off

>Google's rendering engine which is one of the best
This is an anti-feature

FF 61, I just switched from esr 52.
A lot of addons got made for quantum so it's a god time to switch, 61 seems snappier.

i want to use icecat but i can't watch porn on it because h264 doesn't work nor can i watch bitchute vids since webrtc doesn't work. am i gonna have to keep sucking that chromium/FF dick or what?

Attached: ojou.jpg (640x360, 76K)

Newfag here, what are some good browsers that arent Chrome or Firefox? I want to try something new and possibly better.

this but unironically

>webrtc
This is malicious

Brave, Falkon

This but ironically.

W3M is the way, period. What the fuck do you use in an i3wm rice, chromium?!

Who the fuck has so much time they can find and test shitty obscure browsers. All of them are using the same engine anyways, they're all just shitty skins.
Get a job, find some hobbies and just use chrome. Trust me it's better than whatever the fuck you are doing all day looking for browsers.

Install NetSurf.

>iridium.
>it literally says in its own page "it does call home to google"
>using that when theres ungoogled chromium.
U even trying..???

Install gentoo

That too. New firefox looks really good. If I could find a way to minimize the space it takes on the top of the screen I'd switch.

>"it does call home to google"
What the fuck? Learn to read, they're saying CHROMIUM phones to google.

Not optimized for some websites, does not work as smooth as chrome/firefox

Qutebrowser
You can control it entirely from the keyboard with vim-like keybindings

I use chrome on my Windows PC, it has all my passwords/accounts synced so it's just convienent. On my GNU/Linux Laptop I use Firefox, because I don't really log into websites, especially not banking ones, etc. I don't trust freetards with my personal data; but they can fap over my browsing history if they want. On my iPhone I switch between chrome for when I need to log into my bank, and Safari for general searching.

I have used Falkon; it's good. I just don't think there is any point in using it over Firefox or Chrome YET, but I'm keeping it in mind for when Soros/Mozilla really fuck up Firefox. Even then, I could just compile ESR.

Currently on Chrome. I swear the upcoming tab design is atrocious.

Attached: chrome_2018-07-13_12-35-22.png (742x559, 36K)

doesnt look like that on my machiene

Winner winner chicken dinner. Ungoogled Chromium or Iridium are the patrician choices for wasting time on the internet.

Is the chromium in the Xubuntu application store ungoogled? And if so, which browser would be best to use (iridium is not there for some reason).
I'm too lazy to build from source
How was the poo in the loo today?
Dont forget to wipe it with your hand after! ;^)

grown up cirno is CUTE

The address bar is so shit.

If you're on the latest macOS literally no reason not to use it with uBlock.

What's a browser that works with modern internet that works in a frame buffer?

using EPIC with built-in proxy for banking and stuff.

any experience with that?

so far seems OK to me.

firefox 52 esr, javascript.enabled=false, never remember history, cleartype disabled

gotta google how to disable cleartype every time it complains about getting slow and wants to reset itself, kind of annoying

kinda fat too, but eh qtweb is ugly and felt slow for the five seconds I tried it so into the trash it goes and that's aIl the time I want to spend fucking around with new browsers for a while

can i use userscripts/userstyles in iridium?
what about addons?

this guy knows what's up

Well I lied. Just downgraded to Firefox 2.0.0.20. No ugly Cleartype to disable. Disabling Javascript is an easy to find checkbox in a small dialog box instead of searching about:config. Uses 1/5th the RAM and about 1/3rd the disk. YouTube actually seems to work better (with Javascript disabled, actually shows lists of videos instead of just a blank screen). Horribad webmail breaks terribly and complains like a mofo but still kinda works. Like hell I'm going to enable Javascript for it. Your bank website might not work, but fuck that.

It's still going on, and it's still annoying. I don't really want to switch to another browser but fuck.

Brave is best

Spotted the shill

LMAO those otherrone's were not me also name a decent browser that doesn't spy on you then

Right, I'm sure it wasn't you ;)
You sound like one of the retards that think legit useful telemetry is bad. And I'm not talking about collecting personal browsing habits.
There are other browser that are so much better than brave and still offer privacy. Like my custom firefox. Better than any chromium based browser.

Safari Tech Preview and Safari 11 are pretty sweet with block origin.

>install a botnet OS
>worry about your browser
you're irrelevant

firefox sucks ass, seamonkey has BLAZING fast speeds I shit you not, I only fear for what will happen to it when it gets downgraded to use quantum

How can you stand the whiteness?

It's a scam and malware. Reinstall your OS.

By not sitting in the dark with 100% brightness on your monitor.

Seriously though. If "whiteness" hurts your eyes, your monitor is most likely too bright.

this, for side tabs only

>firefox sucks ass
Not my experience. It's been better than everything else.

Which browser won't force me to add exceptions to ssl validation every time I visit a site with a self-signed key? Getting real tired of this from firefox dev

>forced to use edge since the windows 10 april update
If anyone knows how to install Windows 10 Enterprise Fall Creators Update or knows how to fix the Chome issues on the April update, please do tell.

Every Chromium-based browser on Windows is fucked atm.

>Discuss internet browsers here.
google chrome and chromium are superior.
If you worry about your online and offline privacy you're fucked anyway.

why cant brave release 1.0 already

What issue? I have win10 fully up to date and is using Chrome.

>why aren't things developed instantly

the current version is shit yet its the only browser i prefer
