the iPhone SE doesn't have this problem.

Literally my favorite smartphone but it does have 3/6 "problems" OP listed.

>no removable battery
>no SD/MicroSD slot

>>no removable SIM cards
what the actual fuck

What is the galaxy s9

What? It only lacks SD cards
The battery is removable

Here we go

>no removable SD/MicroSD cards
My past two phones had slots and I never used them. Point to Nuphone
>no removable batteries
Really only helpful if you go into the woods for extended periods of time. I doubt you do, but I do. Nuphone lasted for a 4 day festival, but still, point oldphone
>no removable SIM cards
what phone doesn't have a removable sim?
>no headphone jacks
My Nuphone has a headphone jack because I use it. Point Nuphone
>no physical buttons or keyboards
Buttons are failure points. Touch screens less so. Point Nuphone
>notches
Make optimal usage of available space. Your alternative option is less screen. Point Nuphone

I count 4 to 1 in favour of Nuphone

>no removable battery

>no removable SIM cards
You for real nigga?

The battery is not removable. Are you literally 12? When someone says removable they mean something like pic related. Its literally glued in.
2 was SD cards.
3 was physical keyboard, which is a retarded complaint to make and is why I said
>"problems"

2013 was the golden age and it peaked fast. now all phones are shiny slippery pieces of glass with prices reaching 1k.

luckily my brick has everything except removable battery

why do normies ruin phones by demanding a lack of features that apple forces on the industry

>>no removable SD/MicroSD cards
No idea why you would want this.
SD cards were great when phones had little storage, but now you can easily get 64GB models cheap so there's no need to use an SD card that's a lot slower than proper internal storage.
inb4 muh swap card into new phone - you either use cloud like a good goy or keep proper local backups like a sane person

The iPhone's construction means you need to do a bit of work to get at the battery but it's absolutely removable and not difficult to replace... it's not "glued in," replaced my own. Works great with a third-party battery. I don't know what more you want.

Agree with you there, are there any glassback phones with removable battery?

>just buy a new phone every time you need more storage space

user, the definition of "removable" has never been pic related, hence why I called you 12.
Its always meant something you can just pop-off the back and remove it by design, which the SE clearly is fucking not.

>1650 mAh battery
2011 was a dark time

This thread is many years too late

>too brainlet to remove some screws

Way to miss the point retard.

new standards allow it, although I can't think of a phone with both nonremovable SIMs and nonremovable memory

>My past two phones had slots and I never used them.

you're also a lonely cuck virgin who doesn't have a family and a million photos to manage. Removable memory is so nice when I want to archive photos.

are you not American?

>are you not American?
no I'm a leaf

>Removable memory is so nice when I want to archive photos.
Just plug the phone in.

doesn't work for all phones, some require software to use others just won't connect and will only charge

>no removable SIM cards
??
>notches
objectively better

If its android you can access the file system by just plugging it in.
If its iOS its a hell of a lot more limited without iTunes, but you can still import photos in Windows without any other software.
Not an argument.

In what way?

Attached: Screenshot_20180802215314.png (1280x720, 606K)

>no I'm a leaf
sorry eh.

Still defending this bullshittery

Attached: 75a_1.jpg (621x619, 88K)

>doesn't work for all phones
Works for LITERALLY all phones, even iphones.

Samsung will probably release a notched phone at some point, just like how Google removed the headphone jack after previously bashing it.

>If its android you can access the file system by just plugging it in.

Not without breaking the warranty, a problem if you want to keep a phone under contract for a trade-in later on.

>Not without breaking the warranty
Stupidest fucking thing I've ever read.
Its literally built into android you fucking dumbass.

so is removing the battery, but doing that also voids the warranty and won't be usable for a trade-in.

>Not without breaking the warranty
???????????????????

How are people like this on Jow Forums?

>click transfer files
>warranty void
are you really this fucking retarded user?

V20

>Why are phones so shit now?
Because Applefags keep rewarding Apple for stupid choices and Apple is a trendsetter.

Nigga what the fuck are you smoking?

you don't remove a couple of screws on the fly in the middle of the day when youre busy you fucking mongoloid
having to use a charger/portable battery bank is fucking aids because you have a cable connected to it and another piece of junk dangling around

If have you have to remove some screws, then the battery isn't fucking removable your utter retard. I bet you're the kind of moron that says a car engine is something easily replaced.

the phone company's warranty retard, not google's

>tfw you have a new comfy, $20 Samsung J1
-mSD card slot
-removable battery
-headphone jack

Attached: dolphin.jpg (664x498, 53K)

Every reply you make makes you look even more retarded, just stop.

yeah but google shitted on apple with the pixel and fucked itself it its ass with the pixel 2.
samshit on the other hand, released (and still is to this day) phones with sd card slots and headphone jacks

when you buy a phone under a contract, you have to abide by the terms of that contract or else the phone company charges the full price

USB transfers do not void your warranty you complete fucking retard. Get this through your thick head.

depends on the plan but they can because the phone company doesn't want piracy or bitcoin miners on their phones. It is also why bitcoin mining is explicitly prohibited on contract phones until they are paid off.

in what kinda of Syndicate-like corporatocracy do you live on?

I can believe that this thread is real

wrong reply it was for this idiot

For under $200 you can buy older phones that have none of these problems and they work perfectly fine. Using a Note 4 with LineageOS that I bought for $125.

That seems to be the only option really. I'm thinking off going back to my S5 from my S7.

Does LineageOS remove all the google bs and still support the usual android features?

You can decide to not flash Google Apps, so you won't have Gmaps app, the Play Store, and other bloat on your phone. Some apps require Google Play Services and either will show you a warning message or will not work.

jesus fucking christ

That's good to know, don't think any application I use often requires google play which is great, might end up going with this and installing LineageOS

*blocks your path*
>removable microsd card
>removable sim card
>headphone jack
>full fucking keyboard
>no notch

who cares
i’m not spending a thousand bucks on a fucking toy
get a dumb phone and a desktop like a man with functioning testicles

what a great way to tell people you have AIDS

Microsoft is making solution for that. It's called surface andromeda

My phone doesn't flip and has no physical keyboard WTF it's 2015 people

Have it and love it, but it's not like I have a choice. It's probably the ONLY modern phone on the market with a keyboard. I like the key2 but it still only wins by default.

>Microsoft is making solution
Hi Rajeesh.

Any examples of nonremovable SIM phones? Haven't heard of this.

im not the person you were replying to but you're a dick
>taking a thousand photos of your family
nobody i know of other than you does this because they actually live in the moment instead of living through a camera
>reverting to ad hominems even when the person you are replying to is objectively right
your point was "phones don't have microsd cards" not "you should use microsd cards if your phone has them. therefore, your attacks were wholly unnecessary, because you were attacking him on the basis of not using his microsd cards, instead of actually countering him.

True, but it will also bootloop inevitably. Not really worth considering.

...

inb4 "I was just pretending to be retarded"

> no removable SD/MicroSD cards
he doesn't have 256GB of storage!

> no removable batteries
he wants to carry loose cells!

> no removable SIM cards
what is 'CDMA' for 500 Alex

> no headphone jacks
he's not using an external, portable amp/dac

> no physical buttons or keyboards
he thinks things that can break are better!

> notches
he doesn't like high screen-to-body ratios!

Off yourself, shill.

The xiaomi redmi note 5 has all of them.

I don't like it either, but you're making me want to get one.

>uses first party screws so third party repairmen won't screw them

hello

reddo

My uncle's millenial son is an Applefag.

they aren't shit
people are dumb

>2025
>everything is soldered
>can't repair phones and replace their components
>can't repair laptops and replace their components
>repairs are banned
>"if it's broken, don't fix it and buy the new one for double price"
>destroy enviroment while tech company CEOs swim in money

>No removable SD/Micro SD cards
Who cares?
>No removable batteries
By the time this is actually an issue, I'd have already got a new phone on contract. That's whoever I sell that shit to's problems.
>No headphone jacks
Grandpa, everyone has a pair of bluetooth headsets.
>No physical buttons or keyboards
Uhh, look at the side of the devices? Keyboard? Who cares? Buy a fucking blackberry if you want to be an edgy contrarian, nobody is going to bend over, to accommodate you, you're1% of the userbase.

Why is every Samsung have to fallback to juvenile shitposting, to justify their purchasing decisions? Like you can see this in the YouTube comment section also but always, their name contains "Patel," Rajesh or Singh," I wonder why?

You don’t understand anything about technology.

how did you all newpeople fall for this

disgusting

just stopping by to say if you own a pair of bluetooth headphones that your not going to make it and your probably a bigger faggot than me

>No removable SD/Micro SD cards
>Who cares?

I haven't ever came near to using 64 GB's on my phone, try again.
Sick post.

...

Holy shit I laughed out of lol when I saw that ad

My phone has a removable battery, microSD support, and TWO slots for SIM cards.

So it wasn't mede in the last 2 years

>>no removable SD/MicroSD cards
My S8 has a MicroSD slot built into the SIM slot. This is becoming the norm now.
>>no removable batteries
You mean no *easily* removable batteries for normies. If you're not a moron, it's very easy to replace the battery in your phone once it's out of warranty and the OEM won't do it for you.
>>no removable SIM cards
Never seen this in any modern flagship on a GSM carrier.
>>no headphone jacks
No phone worth a shit would omit a headphone jack.
>>no physical buttons or keyboards
Most phones still have at least physical volume and power buttons. Gesture typing has pretty much made hardware keyboards obsolete. A lack of physical keyboard is a subjective flaw as most people don't want or need one.
>>notches
I'll give you that one, though most OEMs are trying to find ways to do away with them. Pretty much only applel and elgoog are going full notchtard, and their phones suck shit anyway.

>Why are phones so shit now? Will decent phones ever be made again?
Pretty much any phone that isn't an iPhone or pixel?

Yeah it's almost as if getting a new phone is a complete downgrade from my galaxy s5

Why can't they just make a slide out keyboard in landscape instead of a fixed keyboard in portrait?
Still can't remove that battery

>slide out keyboard in landscape
Beggars can't be choosers. If there was a phone like the Sidekick I'd buy one right this moment.

>buy a new phone every time you need more storage space
>buy a new phone every time the battery needs to be replaced
>buy new headphones
>deal with shitty onscreen buttons that never work

>no removable SD/MicroSD cards
Internal storage is more than enough on middle to high-end models.
>no removable batteries
An issue if someone has been carrying around more than one battery.
Haven't done that ever.
Also battery packs are now a thing.
>no removable SIM cards
Haven't seen such a phone.
How they even access the network?
>no headphone jacks
That's an issue.
I cannot bother charging yet another thing.
And I simply like my handsfree.
>no physical buttons or keyboards
I only need power and volume buttons.
>notches
I don't mind those either as long as they aren't wide such as in iPhone X.
