Why?

But Macs have been just another brand of PC since 2006?

Feels good man

be honest, what can you do on a mac that you can't do on a pc, or vice versa
besides gaming

POSIX compliant and UNIX certification

to make winbabbies feel superior

Macs are vertically integrated, PCs are not

moreso describing raw functionality of the computer and its software than the disgusting way apple runs their business but a good point nonetheless

Everyone knows that those two are just meaningless labels that you can get with money. Only reason why most Linux distros don't have the certification is because they don't bother with it (maybe sticking with the original vision of both Linus and Stallman of not wanting just another UNIX). Huawei's own EulerOS even got a UNIX certification and that thing is just another Linux distro.

>macs are not personal computers

The term specifically means IBM PC clone, kid.

rms says computers running Windows should be called WCs

But I'm running a hackintosh bro.

Women aren't gamers, especially middle-aged women.

What did Coca-Cola mean by this?

Thanks dude.

Ok what's the practical use case for UNIX certification and POSIX compliancy that macs have and Linux doesn't?

Has anyone managed to get hackintosh on a PCIe SSD that already has windows on it?

I keep getting the error "installer resources not found" when I try boot into macOS.

move out of your mom's basement and you'll see ;)

Not an argument. So there's nothing about UNIX cert and being POSIX, it's just another irrelevant trophy macfags talk about, but have literally no idea what it means.

>Not an argument.
Obviously it is or else I wouldn't have posted it

That's cool. How well does MacOS work with Nvidia GPUs?

I haven't had any problems in the 6 years since I built it, once I got the right BIOS settings and kernel extensions installed
I only play games on the Windows side, so I couldn't tell you anything about OS X's performance beyond "I can use two monitors with minimal fuckups"

I'm pretty sure Mac OS is more compatible with Nvidia shit than AMD stuff because the OS was written with Nvidia in mind

>I'm pretty sure Mac OS is more compatible with Nvidia shit than AMD stuff because the OS was written with Nvidia in mind
The Mac Pro uses AMD though. And I think the most recent, high end MacBook Pros use AMD as well. Old MacBooks used to use Nvidia, but nowadays it's all AMD.

So on that basis maybe MacOS has support for both. I wouldn't know though because my MBP only has integrated graphics.

lol @ running W7. I have a decent thinkpad from work, I would recommend.

$2500 for a computer with no fans and an underclocked i9 with 8gb of ram in 2018. These are not ok.
