Just out of autism I'm looking for the most powerful dual core cpu.

Is there anything more powerful than an i3-7350K?

fucking corelets, when will they learn

ARM deimos

Get an i9 9900k my dude

I get a dual core isn't viable for serious applications but I'm autistic and curious if I could make something usable with some rare powerful dual core cpu I've haven't heard of yet.

I guess the HEDT i3.

Pretty sure there's nothing. The Kaby Lake-X i3 probably would have been minimally faster, but it seems to have been canceled.

2c/4t 7350k simply annihilates a 5GHz FX-9590

>something usable
You can easily play any and all games at 1080p with a G4560 (a 1060 won't bottleneck it).
I'm using a athlon x4 845 I got for $40 and so far, zero problems - it's considerably more powerful than a core2 extreme 9770.
Personally, I'd go with a G5600 if I can afford it, or a G4560 to save cash. 7350k is just a waste of cash.

>HEDT i3
it does not exist

>G5600 if I can afford it, or a G4560
to anyone reading this, careful, the sockets have the same pins but are NOT compatible thanks to intel's happy merchantry and retardation

G4600

Source?

shut the fuck up, you know nothing

Is this just a thought experiment or do you actually intend to buy one?

what do you mean source?
can't you fucking google it?

the pentium 5600 doesn't work on 100 and 200 series chipsets, only on 300
same goes for the 4560, it will not work on 300, only on 100 and 200

Still says nothing about chipsets. They're the same socket.

get an i3 6100 and a z170 board that still has bioses available that allow for bclk overclocking

good goy

The LGA 1151 socket was revised for the Coffee Lake generation CPUs and comes along with the Intel 300-series chipsets. While physical dimensions remain unchanged, the updated socket re-assigns some reserved pins, adding power and ground lines to support the requirements of 6-core CPUs. The new socket also relocates the processor detection pin, breaking compatibility with earlier processors and motherboards. As a result, desktop Coffee Lake CPUs are officially not compatible with the 100 (original Skylake) and 200 (Kaby Lake) series chipsets. Similarly, 300 series chipsets only support Coffee Lake and are not compatible with Skylake and Kaby Lake CPUs.

>intlel

>6/12 secretly changed to 8/8
I wonder who is behind this post

Fixed.

6core should also be optimal

Fucking brainlet.

>NO 6/6
>NO 6/12
6/6 is the sweet spot for budget mid-range gaymen

I've had that in my meme folder since march 2017

>This is what intlet corelets believe

get a i3 8350k they are 4core now and while yes 90% of games run the same performance on a 2core there are afue that are annoying with out a 4core because they are programed bad and not actually multithreaded.

if you could disable a core on a 2core you would literally get the same FPS. multicore games are impossible with out adding like 200ms of lag.

>corelet
>threadlet
>intlet
jesus fucking christ

Yeah but Ryzen 2700x simple annihilates 2c/4t 7350k

why would you lie?

I intend to buy one and do a water cooled overclock build with it

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about, but a "budget" 4 core processor is more than enough to run any game at ultra settings above 60fps, as long as the ram and graphics are are up to par.

yep, it's the most powerful dual core ever. Kickass single core performance. Although, even an i3 8100 will beat it on average performance. 4c/4t is the minimum in the year or our lord OP, don't fuck up.

I enjoy this image a lot because it shows how silly it is to get 6 cores. You gotta jump from 4c/8t to 8c/8t, all in between is stupid.

Whats the most powerful single core CPU?

>Tfw 6 cores and 12 threads

Happy with my 2600x

8350K

>dual core in current year

Even quad core barely cuts it anymore
