X200 IPS panel replacement/upgrade

Anyone here replace their ThinkPad x200 screen? How'd you connect the video cable between the lid and the lcd? Shit is impossible.

Bump

Did it, went for the Samsung PVA panel.

Cable is connected to Webcam and Thinklight.
Try unscrewing them

There must be video or a guide in the net

There is absolutely none for the x200

Got it to work. Looks pretty red and dim though, wonder if I could calibrate it..

It's just stuck, try shaking the screen to loosen it.

There's also another pixel that's green when the screen is black

Shake it how? Like a little? Or unplug it and just flap the panel around like a bedsheet?

your camera has more artifacts than the screen

What about the 3:2 HiDPI panel mod that was done in the X201 by 51nb, anons?

Take a thin shirt or towel, wet it with really hot water, wring it out so you won't fuck up the screen, put it over the pixel and directly over the pixel rub a ballpoint pen in a circular motion as hard as you can without cracking it.

If it's a stuck pixel that should fix it. Be careful not to crack the screen with the pen though. Also don't drip water everywhere, make sure the shirt is really well wrung out but still hot with water.

Damn thats nice
got a link?
Also is it just a drop in replacement for ccfl models?

Get the daylight led kit replacement and enjoy low power blinding nits.

Do you have a link for something like this?

Of course, dear:

Enjoy it.

Despite the banner, he makes X200 kits

Thinking of buying an X200T. Saw in /tpg/ threads that people had replaced the screen with an IPS version. However the screen is touch sensitive, no? So I presume it needs a specific replacement. Is this true? Anyone know how to replace an X200T screen? Thanks

This is good advice. I should probably replace the one on my X200. These things do get old after 10 years.
