I have a budget of 300-400 euro to create a 5.1 Setup for the TV. Should I just go with a basic z906 setup, or going with a cheaper speaker setup with a reciver a better option?

Attached: setup2.jpg (4000x3000, 1.85M)

sup guys, will receive polk audio signature s20 on wednesday

why is vintage music tech so attractive for decent woman?

For that low of a budget, start with 2 channel and the intent to use your front left and right as rears when you can afford a bigger budget for the LCRs.

depends if you care about soundquality and and being able to accomodate extra space because small bookshelf is bigger than satelites when thinking about cost factor

there's no way you can fit 5.1 in there, so don't bother

guess ill ask here.

Can anyone recommend some extremely cheap but good value earphones. Also, i'm not a fan of the "in ear" type.

I very rarely use earphones but i have several long flights coming up, i dont want to spend much for obvious reasons, but i also dont want to be stuck with horrible knock off apple things on a 15 hour flight.

Every hobby i have has that one entry level product which everyone owns because it punches well above its weight. Im guessing there is something like this for earphones.

I got currently a basic 2.1 Setup with a Logitech Speaker (Not the best, but way better than the TV's.) Cables are short tho.
I marked where the speakers would be in the picture. I believe it would fit there, but not sure if its worth it, due of the place being too small.

I was also thinking buying a basic Home Theater setup and/or Logitech Z906.

well for in-ears, it KZ-ATE in-ear headphones

for on-ear/over-ear.. maybe ath m30x?

Attached: DSC01298.jpg (4000x3000, 1.33M)

Ive actually already got M30x's but im after earphones specifically. Maybe my terminology is wrong but i prefer the ones which just sit in your ear over the hole rather than the noise cancelling ones which go inside your ear.

However i do like the look of those KZ-ATE's. Thats the exact price point i'm aiming for so ill consider those, thanks for the suggestion.

for flights I would absolutely suggest in-ear
you really want good isolation with that kind of constant noise

i think 1more has an ear-plug type of in-ear for 20$~ check em, they're golden colored

i don't know how exactly to trust reviews on these though.

i owned the kz-ate myself, maybe get the ate-s version for better ear fit if it's about as cheap. definately excellent soundquality for the asking price.

the classical koss porta pro is lightweight but you will annoy your neighbours when listening to them since they leak tons of sound

tfw my iloud micro monitors probably sound as big as these

kek

Crosley are notorious for destroying records. Probably the worst turntables you can buy. Ion turntables are okay, but you'd be better off buying one from the 80s with auto queue and stuff.

after watching a few videos, ive ordered some KZ-ATE's. Thanks for the help lads

no problem. you will be satisfied by them.

maybe you wanna EQ the bass a little bit down to prevent fatigue but that's really it, they sound near perfect else

You guys seem like gear fetishists.
Show me some neat headphone setups, will ya?

Attached: Topi-the-Corgi-Napping-with-Headphones-e1505883087241.jpg (1200x734, 122K)

they all sound like shit currently because i dont have a headphone amp and the headphone out on speaker amps isnt really meant to be used.

use

Holy shit: Are these actually yours?

nice job, did you just refurbish or build from scratch? doesn't look like anything from the current mb line, what was the base model for them?

You've never been to /hpg/, have you.
People there recommend a Chinese amp because it gives a flat response and think everything else is overpriced garbage that nobody should buy, as if there are no other considerations to be made.

thank you - good advice

I'm actually more into sticc and cei

I understand the problem. I wish I could help you, I don't really know much about headphones. I have a pair of DT770s I like, and some Shure IEMs I use for travel that are okay (it's annoying when you have to twist to seal every time a flight attendant asks if you want another piece of bread, but they are small which is nice).

I have an Emotiva DC-1 but that is discontinued and their replacement isn't out yet. The DC-1 has a great feel to it and sounds nice, despite that I've had it go out. They did replace it under warranty though (4 years after I bought it!).

Benchmark makes nice stuff, but expensive. Schiit measures really poorly on their ultra low end stuff, not sure how their higher end stuff is. Most of Jow Forums just buys inexpensive things so they focus more on how entry level devices perform.

Hey man, Rolf is still alive.

Here's my set up. Took it just a couple of minutes ago.

Attached: klipsch-heritage-lifestyle-listening.jpg (1200x682, 81K)

funny how even a literal model can't make giant can headphones look good.

I was a model and had to do model things like single strap backpacks and manbags for luxury brands. They still make them, I can't figure out who buys them because even the Italian and French models, some of them gay, I worked with thought they were ugly. I guess gay asians?

I need to buy a 32" TV for a series of 12 boats I'm making over the next two years. I've struggled in the past with discontinuation of models and such causing me to have to change cabinet sizees, so I either need to buy all 12 up front or try to stick with a brand that keeps pretty consistent models.

Any recommendations? 32", as thin as possible, reasonable brand (Samsung, LG, Sony, etc).

build from scratch
PMC BB5 replica
Volt bass and mids, scan-speak tweeters
4th order passive crossovers

Oh, thanks. My gf always says I look like a model. This is a pic I just took of her.

neat

see if you can find this receiver in your country:
Cambridge Audio Azur 540R V3

if it comes out to less than 120 euro, then you may be able to put together a decent 5.0 for about 400

Attached: 540R-V3-rear.jpg (3164x868, 719K)

is this your gf with your friend Carlos
i think you should have a sit-down chat with her

why do speaker companies always get such shitty looking models?

forgot pic

Attached: KMC_1_Black_-_Lifestyle_635161520026760000.jpg (2100x2100, 3.9M)

Actually I'm willing to get myself a basic but nice audio setup for music, movies and games, and I don't even know where to start. Does someone have some kind of proper guide?

Up until now I always got some shitty PC speakers, which no matter the brand would eventually have some stupid cable/wheel malfunction, and because everything is soldered and you can't even swap cables, it all goes into the trash and it's money fucking wasted. I'd rather get something more expensive but fixable, and apparently it's as simple as getting an amp, with speakers, and a bunch of cables. But how does that really work, and how does one choose speakers and amps?

plz halp

budget?
fav online seller?
room size/pic?

Attached: 3366079303_n.jpg (720x720, 66K)

I'd say a $600 budget, for a 250 sqft room, and I don't have fav sellers plus I live in Europe anyway.

But most importantly I'd like to understand how all that shit works, what I need to buy, and how to choose it. There are so many kinds of amps and speakers and I have no clue whether this would be enough, nor how to make sure they'd work together nicely.

what's the ebay url for your country
