Post your upgrades over time

Post your upgrades over time,

Some slow bullshit that I can't rember, 8800gt, r9 270, rx 480, (will be getting a gtx 1070ti or 1080)

Attached: 3145654.jpg (500x637, 104K)

Nvidia 710M + some i3 mobile cpu -> G4560 + RX470+ 8Gig 2400Mhz -> Ryzen 2600 + 16Gig 3000Mhz

The ones I remember
GT130, GT610 (not an upgrade but previous shat the bed), HD7970

5 years later still radon strong

HD 7850 > RX 470 > RX 480 > GTX 770 > GTX 970 > GTX 980 Ti > GTX 1080

A few of these I still have but most I don't. They were either sold or they died.
I got the 1080 after I RMA'd my 980 Ti which died. A shame really, I liked that card more than my 1080, even if it was more power hungry.

T4500 IGPU > 8400GS > R7 360

Gt 220 from prebuilt as a kid > 560ti > gtx 660 > hd 7950 > gtx 770 > gtx 970 > gtx 1070

A few of them were second hand and others I got for really cheap brand new. I actually made money from buying the 7950 for 100€ and selling it for more, and the 770 I used it for a year, then it died, and the shop where I got it refunded me the full 300€ I paid for it because they didn't have stock to send me another one, feels good man. I used that money to buy a 970.

Now I only play csgo so I don't need a new graphics card. I travel a lot so I'm even thinking of selling my desktop and buying a gtx 1060 laptop or something lul.

Onboard Rage II chip -> ATI Xpert 98 -> Voodoo 3 2000 ->Radeon 32mb SDR -> 6800GT ->8800GT-> GT 740

8GB->16GB RAM 2 months in.
7850 -> 1060gtx 5 years later

Still running that old Ivy Bridge i5. Shit's cash as fuck

TNT2, MX400, FX5500, ATI 9600SE, GF7600, GF9600GSO, GTX9800+, GTX460, 7870XT, 7790, R9 270, 1050ti, RX560

8800GT
GT 630
GTX 960
Will probably get 2080/ti

Who cares? Everybody's gonna post theirs and no one is gonna read other's

I believe it was a SiS530 IGP, then 440MX, then 9600XT, then 8400GT, then 6600K APU, now I'm on a 7750.

Look at this faggot. I bet he feels all superior being around 30.

Actually no. I'm kinda sad.

What are you sad about?

>1050ti -> RX560
isn't that a downgrade?

A8 6600K -> I7-6700K

HD7970 -> R9 270x 4GB -> GTX 970 -> GTX 1080

EVGA NEX 650GQ -> Some EVGA 1000W Gold PSU

Not sure, maybe that's the problem. Maybe lost direction or reason for the upgrades. I don't even game anymore.

Obviously yes. But i have no proper reason to do that.

Lower TDP?

I'm not following... You do know why you are sad, tell user

pentium 4 > some core2duo > mobile i5 3rd gen > i5 6600k

i had two computers before the first one i listed, but i don't remember anything about the hardware. one was running win95, the other one winME.

Celeron D 2.56Ghz -> C2D E4400 2Ghz -> Core i7 920 (Couldn't OC reeeee) -> [email protected]

MX440 PCI -> X1300 Pro -> HD3650 -> HD4770 -> HD7970 Ghz

Leenux man?

PIII 800, PIV 2.4GHz, core2quad q8300

>tfw can't remember what your oldests gpu/cpu were

All I can remember is some shitty pentium with dos "playing" mavis beacon. Then some shitty Pentium with Windows 95, then 98. Then some shitty pentium with windows xp. Then some Athlon with XP. Windows 7 with Phenom II, 3770K with some Win 7 few years later then current Skylake with Win7 (downgraded from win10 because of shitty incompatible software and ugly ui).

For GPU, 8400gt -> 3750 -> 7700 -> 7950/280 -> GTX 1060.

yeah, linux exclusively since 2008

At first it was lower TDP then i randomly proceed to sell it to my gaymen boomer friends and i go try something else.
I feel lost, no longer find reason to upgrade/downgrade. But still cannot escape and continue to linger in this hobby.

Arch or Debian?

debian stable then xubuntu since 16.04

>core 2 duo > i7 3610QM >R7 1700 >R7 2700X
>ATI Radeon HD 4850 >GT 630M >GTX 1080

>550ti>8800gtx>280x>980>1080ti

Thar Ubuntu shit... For a moment there I thought you were a nice guy

best upgrade ever:
core duo ddr2 -> AMD FX ddr3

HD 4870 > gtx 560ti > gtx 970 > gtx 980ti

C2Q Q9550 > i5 2500k > i5 4690k
