Have you tried lutris? Theye use a script to config wine+dvk(a dx11 vulkan wrapper) to play games. You can make witcher 3 run on it. The new steam Linux meme valved release is basically a locked up lutris.

If you don't switch off your pc and just let it go to "sleep, there maybe a number of large hibernation files.

Unreal engine games usually work well and with good performance if you use dxvk (unless the game has anti-piracy/anti-cheat)
