So that Drones becoming a problem nowadays. What can be done to defend yourself?
Would it be possible with a laptop and some yagi antennas to disturb their control signal?

Drones have failsafes for signal loss

youtube.com/watch?v=UW1DY2oTjug

if you can determine what frequency they are running on an array of inexpensive magnetrons would to the job.

It'll just return home with gps signal.

You could jam that too but good luck with doing that :-)

>jamming GPS

That seems like it would cause the military to show up at your house

A shot with a BB gun would be enough

in an article i read that the fry the eletronics of the drone with some strong antennas, so it will not return.

or do it the old fashion way!

Becoming a problem how?

You can't do anything in most places. The air space above your house generally doesn't belong to you.

We make them into robowaifus

Shooting them down would be illegal. Fight fire with Fire. Use another drone and build a net out of fishing line to catch em. Tangle up the drones propellers and it’ll drop like a brick.

Wtf Is going on in there?
Is there any blueprints out of similar builds out there?

Theres these russian guys on youtube who take apart a microwave and put a cone around the magnetron to make it directional. They point it at a scooter and it starts smoking and becomes disabled rather quickly. Probably not nearly enough to stop a military combat drone, but I bet most quad copters would be roasted pretty easy.

Just some russians doing shit (playing with microwave gun)

lol yagi. tear apart a microwave oven and use the magnetron to remote-fry drones

The force of the microwave decreases exponentially with distance. It wouldn’t work if the drone is up high.

Mostly thinking of that video they released to terrify the imagination of the public where they have quads with little explosive charges

gps is one of the easiest signals to jam.
but it is also very obvious if you are not in some remote location.

Blocking communication, not so much, but spoofing is doable with low tech and fairly hard to counter.

youtube.com/watch?v=6qQXVUze8oE

Bug drone props could easily break a birds foot. That might work for cheap chink drones.

shit does not work

fake and gay

Train hawks to take down drones you brainlets

I like the shotgun solution.
>can be used by anyone
>requires minimal training
>easy to repair
>costs fuckall
>doesn't break down
>doesn't run out of battery
Sometimes low tech is the best tech.

Im down with this.
Fucking annoying people ruining a good day.

NOICE

emp

Birds aren't that fragile, especially birds big enough to take down larger drones.

>I have the right to destroy private property
fucking communists

If you don't live in a shithole country then .22LR should be plenty powerful enough to take down a drone.

>I have the right to record anything I want without paying
fucking communist

if you can have 1 drone with CV going for the target, you can have 2, 10 or 200

And you can have an entire flock of hawks trained to take them all down.

8,8cm FLAK with airburst shells

>born too late to explore earth
>born too early to explore space
>born just in time to witness a war fought with drones and trained hawks

What is the range of that jammer?

Yeah but that things jamming has too so it's just gonna float there till they stop. It can't fly itself home without knowing where home is.

Attached: image.jpg (917x693, 243K)

are they any good resources for different jamming techniques? like gps mentioned and other

>because some people might be breaking the law I have the legal right to destroy property
move to france if you don't want to be recorded in public without permission, authoritarian cuck

if your accelerometer/gyroscope/magnetometer/air pressure sensors are good enough you can reliably fly back home without any gps signal, the magnetometer isn't strictly necessary either

don't most of these things communicate via shittily-secured wifi?
cmon Jow Forums you supposed to be hakky bois

>GPS gets jammed
>continue on with navigation thanks to GLONASS

>tear apart a microwave oven and use the magnetron to remote-fry drones
maybe if they're within 3 inches

No, most of the unattended drones follow a preprogrammed course based on GPS just because wireless remote control doesn't have enough range or reliability.
If the drone is attended and controlled real-time, and you wanted to get rid of it, finding and beating up the driver would be easier.

Just shoot them

>Don't want to be recorded
>Authoritarian

wouldnt ravens be better?
they can be trained to use tools, they could learn to disable drones and "catch" them

>So that Drones becoming a problem nowadays
I'd advise revisiting fundamental English.

>telling other people what they can and can't do in public
>not authoritarian

Almost like people should have a right to be left alone.

>What can be done to defend yourself?
one shot
one kill

Attached: 1463339815821.jpg (672x672, 199K)

I guess this would get very expensive cause for such a gun you would at least need 80 Giga Rays, minimum, meaning you would need 8 2080Ti bridged via Scan Line Interleave. Combined with all the other tech, you probably land at 20k $, if not more. I guess programming some Kamikaze counter drones would be much more sufficient.

Attached: n3-5gibvidia.jpg (1920x1080, 1.64M)

If did nothing there is nothing to fear.

What is the NAP

But that's unironically what an authoritarian would say

For the greater good, we will have to surrender our rights and privacy.

your 'right to be left alone' in public places violates my right to not be thrown in prison because some cuck is in the background of my photo
as stated, feel free to move to france if you don't want other people taking your photo without permission

>privacy
>in a public place

Accidentally being in the background of a picture is unavoidable. You would have to intentionally target a group/person in order for it to violate rights.

>training valuable hawks for potential suicide missions against drones
no no no
PIGEONS (technically rock doves)
The expendable rats of the sky.
They were once trained for the first homing torpedos during ww1 or some shit.
Surely a drone couldn't pose much of a challenge.

All you need is time and bread.
Two things you can find enough of in any old people's home. Put the grannies to work.

its possible ofc its possible

but then again someone might slap an rfid chip on it and command it to go full head on on the strongest signal around directing to it

good luck

And who's going to decide whether it was intentional targeting? You? Are we just meant to put faith in the legal system to make a good decision? Tell me this won't just be used by rich sue-happy assholes to bankrupt people who embarrass them. "Judge Henry, I have been the victim of a vicious photographic harassment campaign by Mr. Stevenson, he DARED to photograph me as I was leaving that satanist KKK funded military industrial abortion clinic. My lawyer and I believe that the defendant owes me $180,400,000 in damages ", this is a terrible idea. People already try to push cases like these fully knowing they’ll inevitably fail, they’re just trying to drown their opponent in legal fees. Imagine how off-the-rails it would be if they actually stood a chance of winning! Suddenly everybody and their nan is trying to sue somebody over some embarrassing picture.

this isn't always the case, in belgium you don't need permission to take peoples photos but you can't distribute photos of people unless you're covering a public event, in spain you do need permission to take photos of people and again you're only protected from the law if you're covering a public event, and even in a country like switzerland which allows for incidental inclusion of people or people in the background where they have nothing to do with the subject you're still opening yourself up to legal issues from overzealous members of the public
if the issue is harassment then gimping photographer rights isn't a good solution as these laws never achieve their intended purpose as members of the public (like celebrities) who are most likely to receive harassment and intrusions of privacy aren't even protected under these laws

I'm talking about how I think the laws should be not how they are around the globe. Famous people are still people and should therefore have a right to be left alone. The right is only taken away when someone perform to a crowd.
It's going to be decided in court like any other charge is. We put faith in the legal system when it comes to everything else, why would this be different? Sure someone might try and abuse the system, but that happens with every law in existance. Besides; spreading embarrassing or otherwise humiliating pictures of people can be a form of harrasment.

simply use fishing line, hose woks too

Don't be a shitskin.

could they use lances to combat the drones ?
I dont want a "no" answer to this

Just crash a drone into it.

Big birds of prey have talons, though.
They could be used to break rotor blades without incurring damage.

mossberg 500

Defense drones. You wear it as a backpack and when it detects another drone it launches, takes it down, then comes back and lands on your back.

Even better, it snatches it out of the air like a hawk and brings it to you so you can pawn it off to finance more defense drones.

I don't think ravens are large and strong enough to carry a drone of any reasonable size.

>don't be american
You know most of the world is not mutt yet amerimutts can't help but invade everywhere.

>communism is when people break things. the more things that get broken, the more socialister it is.

holy shit, this needs to happen RN

Making it a crime to record evidence of somebody’s actions in public is one step away from criminalizing talking about somebody’s actions in public. I suppose banning journalism was too extreme, so you’re trying to make journalism irrelevant. You know that without a way to substantiate their claims, a journalist’s word will mean nothing. You won’t need to ban journalism, because nobody’ll be able to trust a word they say. To quote Neil Postman, “Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance”. You’re Huxley’s nightmare, in this instance. You’re trying to give the rich and powerful an immunity to journalism. You’re trying to make it a constant game of “he says, she says”, knowing that it’ll never lead anywhere. A political candidate could be filmed giving the Nazi salute, and you’d say that should be kept secret, because that individual doesn’t have a right to share what they’ve seen. Not only does that violate the concept of freedom of speech, I’m fairly certain it actually violates the US constitution. Thank god we’ll never have to worry about your ideas being implemented.

PS: Don’t try to say, “there are other ways to evidence your claims”. There are, and precisely none of them are exempt from your arguments. How is it any different to videotape an exchange between two individuals than it is to audio record it? Or, even, to use a trusted witness? The headlines would read the same, surely. This is one instance where the slippery slope argument does apply. Once the precedent has been set that it’s a crime to ‘eavesdrop’ on an act performed in public by recording it, then there’s absolutely no reason that a future law maker should not expand the law to encompass other forms of evidence, such as audio recordings, or whatever other methods journalists may adapt to using in wake of such a ruling.

You really are an authoritarian.

Introducing titanium razor sharp blades

>thinking people won't get smart and make their blades as sharp as razors

why not just fly suicide counter mini drones with a base station AI to guide them into the aggressor drone and detonate a small charge on impact?

ATF will fucking rape you.

I'm talking about the government using them

Seems very expensive. I can see them doing that.

a BB gun wouldn't do shit, but a shotgun with birdshot would easily destroy a drone

>he thinks he has the right to fly his battery powered radio controlled property over my privately owned land
Get rekt, faggot.

Attached: 5f7.jpg (680x680, 37K)

They are in testing with the government, so nothing has been finalized. Most people think they won't get FCC clearance, so it will limit their use. More like a bomb disposal robot than anything produced for the masses.

The military is just going to shoot them down.

Chinks have to create drone jammer/disabler to stop their students cheating. Fucking crazy.

What about gluing one of those things to a drone and make a suicide drone?

Attached: images(16).jpg (550x455, 19K)

Depends, metal BBs can fuck shit up pretty badly.

nice one

>Almost like people should have a right to be left alone.
Not in a public space.

Drone War is Kino

>thinking "muh private property" gives you the right to bzzzz bzzzzzz bzzzzzzz in my fucking face on my fucking property and violate the NAP

Not on my watch fuckhead
