UXTheme Patcher, which uses 357kb of memory, then used a skin of my choice. I don't know remember the exact steps since I've been on 8.1 for nearly 5 years now without resetting.

uxtheme patcher has been around forever. If you were on linux or some other OS, you'd be going to github and downloading someone else's skins/UI changes, so what difference does it make.

I have over 32TB of storage and not one bit of it is kiddie porn. 90% of it is pirated TV and movies, most of the rest is music and games. Porn used to constitute a not insignificant amount of it too but I deleted my collection.

Once the settings panel is fully featured. No more buttons that bring you to control panel, so say, 6-12 more feature updates I agree.

The new settings panel has a good potential, just needs work. For example there is no button to set a default printer in the win 10 printers menu, and installing network printers from the win 10 printers menu won't install drivers.

Another example is the network section. The change adapter settings button is finally there but brings you to control panel.

The driver store is amazing, I can install win 10 on a 6 year old amd+Intel laptop and track pad, wireless, and video drivers will install

Command promo feels great, by default drag and highlight, right click for copy. Just works.

Needs user customizable WIN + X menu too. It's disrespectful they removed control panel and command prompt from it.

Not enough to make it worthwhile, desu. Instead you'll gain a shitty app system that seems to take place in a different dimension you need to alt-tab to constantly. (on windows 8.1 you can resize the window to take half the screen, but it's still a mess, which is why with 10 they just went back to apps opening on a normal window). If anything skip 8 and go straight to 10. Otherwise 7 is perfectly decent if it's already good enough for you

On 8.1, You do not have to use the Metro screen, period. Classic shell completely eliminates it.

It is the same as 7, except 8.1 has more performance benefits over 7 and is more updated.
