I sort my video folder by last changed date but youtube-dl keeps the metadata from the videos it downloads so it ruins the order of my folder. How can I make it strip the metadata from the videos?
And how to change the destination folder for the download? The suggested command doesn't work. -o "~/F:/Downloads" 'URL'
>created date
>modified date
Stupid anime posters don't know the difference between these?
RTFM faggot, but anyway
youtube-dl --no-mtime -o 'path/to/downloads' URL
Or just sort by creation date
>"~/F:/Downloads"
I don't know what it's called in english.
Thanks. I got the first thing to work but -o 'path/to/downloads' URL just creates a new folder on my desktop instead of putting the file on the other harddrive.
My youtube-dl is on my desktop on C and I want the downloaded videos to be placed in a folder on F.
Don't put ~ in front. That's for loonix.
You want something like -o F:\Downloads
I'm getting an error
>ERROR: unable to open for writing: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'F:\\Downloads'
I can't set "cd F:\Downloads" instead of desktop either
How is it broken?
It's not, I'm just a retard who can't figure out how to make things work.

But user that's cheating.
I got it to work. Thanks for the help anons.
Can this download 1080p60fps videos? Most youtube downloaders I've seen are limited to 720p
Didn't YouTube change their code to make it impossible to download the highest quality?

you're supposed to have the yt-dl exe in the ffmpeg\bin\ folder
I don't use ffmpeg.
Is there a way to make youtube-dl use custom header?
you should
no
it's the default if the video has it
sudo youtube-dl -U
