Glorious PC Masterrace

New build with a 2700X, but reusing the 1080, case, and some of the drives from my last PC. It's not quite done, gonna add a few more case fans (this case didn't come with front fans and the CPU is running a little warmer than I'd like, and I think pushing more air through the case should solve that) and a few other little details like a GPU brace.

Pretty low end stuff. It works well for the games I play though.
i7 2600k @4.5Ghz
GTX 980
5x HDDs
1x SSD
16GB DDR3 RAM
4K monitor.

I’d really love to upgrade my GPU

Wait for Vega. Your i7 would last a bit longer.
You've got free RAM slots. Upgrade to 32GB RAM.

I was thinking about upgrading to a GTX 1080 when the price falls a bit further. Which Vega card are you referring to?

It might be a SSHD

temps

here's mine

just get an aio/highend aircooler. im a 2700X user too.

heres mine featuring reverse airflow

As a dedicated AMD shill, just get a 1080/1080 Ti. Consider replacing the CPU soon though, SB has been surpassed by all metrics for a few generations now, both from Intel and AMD.

>using ssd for archival storage
lmao

70ish c under stress, 7700k delided+1070.
I just wanted it to be silent on everyday use and it does that more than fine

I have this meme case too any ideas on how to mod it so it can house more hdd drives? kinda like

Just buy the case that could fit more HDDs.

This thread will be dead when I open Jow Forums tomorrow.

ITX sounds nice but its so overpriced, ITX X470 boards cost almost as much as my Crosshair VII

Jonsbo C3 is really nice, 2 KG, fits mATX, you can even get the temps done if you get a Corsair H60

CPU stays at 60° GPU at ~75 after undervolting, before it throttled at 90+
RX 480 uses less than 100 W for a 4K load

Is the memecase N1 worth $200

Itx is nice if not overprized, what I really found comfy is sffpc
It's worth, case is awesome and sfflabs is worth supporting in my experience. That said, it's not hard to find something else to dump $200 with bigger impact

What case is that?

I currently play FarCry 5 at a mix of medium/high settings at 4K on my i7 2600k/GTX 980 build.
When I upgrade to a GTX 1080/ti , which CPU do you suggest I go with so that I can max out settings at 4K?

Thermaltake Core G3

How do you clean the dust behind the fan blades?

Hold it still with a finger and blow air on it.

Core i5 8600K. Games does not utilize all the cores.
New flagship i7 CPUs are overkill for gaming and better suited for video rendering and digital content creators.

pscht, you wanna talk big numbers?

That was the meta when I built the thing (when you didn't need to sell your first born for a stick of RAM). Might do a Ryzen 3 build when they're out and new GPU prices come down.

22>1 HOW CAN AMD EVEN COMPETE

what's the second Asus card?

that's one card with a big custom heatsink and 2x 120mm eLoops.
looks like a 3.5 slot card

Looks like a sound card.

this
its litterally fucking impossible to find a good looking case with a lot of hdd bays

What's your idea of 'good looking'? There are a lot of brutalist cases that have 9+ bays

dunno, a little window without alll that gay rgb shit (im still using the cooler master haf 912)

Shinobu completes it :3

Mastercase 5 (not pro) with additional HDD cages.

Turns out I'm an idiot and just didn't have the stock cooler clamped down properly. Stupid plastic lever felt like it was gonna break so I thought it was right, but I gave it a shot and it clamped right. I only figured that out AFTER buying some LED memes though, I guess at least it looks pretty cool this way.

You placed your processor cooler in a wrong direction...

My case has 10/10 cable management, but the PSU's cables are too short to effectively make use of it for the CPU and GPU

bump

its a xonar stx

What you thinking? it has amazing performance

Attached: IMG-20180326-WA0003.jpg (1600x1200, 262K)

its pulling instead of pushing. and my temps are fine.

what CPU Cooler

not him, but it's a Jonsbo cooler (other companies usually license their stuff etc)

jonsbo.com/en/products_28.html

(Higher is better)

Optiplex 7020
i7 4790
GTX 1050ti
8gb ddr3 1600
250gb 960evo
500gb hdd
Stock fans swapped for noctua fans (required the ol’ sodding iron)

Runs amazingly quiet. Would highly recommend this Zotac card over the msi one as my old RX 460 LP was LOUD.

I wish they made beefier PSUs for these. they are the ultimate mini ITX
