I got a new 4k monitor which I use as my main monitor and then I use my old 1080p monitor as vertical secondary monitor.

However some programs when I drag them from my main monitor to my second monitor, they are fucking supersized.

I'm new to 4k so is there any way of fixing this so they dont increase or decrease in size?

there's a stupid questions thread. Ask there and delete this thread. In the meantime, check the dpi settings for both monitors. Probably that's the reason it's changing sizes of objects when moving around.

how do I check the dpi settings?

and i'd much rather have my own thread since this is an important issue and it keeps it cleaner, dont wanna get lost in the crowd haha

You must be fun at parties :/

ok sorry i'll ask Toms Hardware

dont 4k monitors use UI scaling?

idk?

>ok sorry i'll ask Toms Hardware
good luck with that, that piece of shit is busy shilling nvidia cards right now and trying to do regular tasks with chink dicks in his mouth

>how do I check the dpi settings?
What OS? whatever it is, check your Display settings where you setup your current resolution. Tip: check around where you did the horizontal/vertical setup you posted in your OP pic.

it says aspectratio

ok i need to go now but ill check when i get back

ill be back in 2 hours or so

>and it keeps it cleaner
No you are shitting up the board.
Read the fucking sticky.

Ehh no? I have every right to do as I please

Use a tiling WM and configure with xrandr, retard.

what is WM and xandr?

WM is window manager, xrandr is a program. DDG it yourself, but you should have a clue of basic computing before you post here.

The state of this board I swear to god

DDG?

>waaaa someone doesn't know all technical shit

shut the fuck up nerd before I beat you up

It's a search engine.

why dont you just say google

You could tell us what os you use, but you're gay so I'm guessing windows

I don't use that rubbish.

Windows 10 of course

>Hating on google

is this some next level fedora tipping?

I'm not an Atheist, what does what I said have to do with Atheism?

Fuck off you disgusting pretentious brainlet

wtf rude

You have the scaling settings in the display section
Scale to your liking

Windows 10 and scaling on different monitors is fucking retarded.
I sometimes hook up my 4k TV to my PC to watch stuff on which results in the scaling on my other 2 monitors fucking up.

there is no perfect solution for this. it's a side effect of running 2 monitors with different DPIs
you can mess with scaling but that will make everything blurry

this is a female isn't it?

sure is summer.....
AHEM, install gentoo is the correct answer m'lady

How fucking self centered are you? This is a board for discussing technology, not your personal tech support. Eat shit.
