I was trying out qterminal which is what came with LXQT Debian, changing the colours is a pain so I just did fg/bg to my liking and changed some of the more hideous colours, but I'm back on urxvt.

and a gradient i had lying around which transitions from windows 95 green to windows 2000 blue. enlarge the svg to fit, copy paste done

the blur is from compton-tryone-git, kawase style. Pretty easy to compile on Arch because it's on the AUR but installing on Debian was easy since you just install the packages you need to compile compton, clone the git repo, make, sudo make install

Out of the box PPA support, for one, and a bunch of small little configuration things I've been sorting out for about the last couple hour that on other distros were just kind of already done for me, though albeit this isn't your ordinary Debian install.

I'm using the desktop from IRIX on a Linux system. Is that obscure enough for you? I think it's pretty comfy.

I've been seeing IRIX and old SGI shit in my suggestions everywhere as of late. Kinda wanna see if I can track down an old SGI Octane system or something along the lines and get my hands on one (assuming the PSU didn't fail and take the rest of the system with it).
Mandrake is now OpenMandriva and some other project I can't remember the name of. IIRC the original project went bankrupt or something along that line
Pretty much anything Ubuntu or Ubuntu based. The shit just works, and if that means I don't have to tediously edit configs for 2 hours getting things set up how I like, that's already a godsend in comparison.
