Name one apple's innovation besides notch

Because their actual mechanical quality is shit, most of their consumers are zombies, their OS is built like its for children, and they charge an extreme premium for their shit just because they made it.

That said I like Apple, but unless you can recognize that you're retarded.

Well, they create the iPhone and App Store in 2007, everyone else immediately follows. They create Siri, everyone else automatically gets a voice assistant too. They get a fingerprint reader, every phone now has a sensor on it. Now theyre doing Face ID, now android is doing face and iris scanners on their phones. Literally everything Apple does the industry follows, Samsung has never come up with anything on their own.

> and everything they do Samsung follows?
Samsung has the only phone lines that don't look like cheap iPhone clones you retard

Their OS is built like it’s for children? So you’re saying you prefer the ugly and clustered layout of Android?

Attached: E54EBF8E-84DF-4B93-A367-348D38683242.jpg (338x300, 43K)

Iris scanners and facial scanners existed before faceid

>well they create Siri
Terrible chatbot that someone with even half a brain and a double digit IQ could make in their basement as long as they know basic programming and understand how a chatbot works, which were around since the 90s.
>fingerprint reader
Not an innovation, been around since roughly the 70s, only "innovation" is placing it in a new spot. That's like saying attaching something somewhere that is wasn't before is an "invention". It's not.
>face and iris scanners
Around since the 80s, these have been just re-implemented in another spot, refer to the previous explanation about how putting something in a new spot doesn't mean "inventing" it.

Apple just packages things nicely because they know what retarded consumers like, and as such they are extremely profitable. So in a sense, I don't deny that Apple as a corporation is extremely intelligent. What I instead say is that the cult that follows Apple believing it to be anything more than a cleve moneymaking business structure is mentally disabled.

So they look different, big deal.

Why is Apple considered innovators when they are arguably the only idiots in the phone industry and everything Samsung do they follow?

Attached: 1531190432777.jpg (2157x1471, 468K)

Nobody considers Apple stupid, only their customers.

Attached: 1533180024242.jpg (643x960, 256K)

All of what you wrote is retarded. That’s like saying the cell phone wasn’t innovative because “oh it’s just a home phone but it’s in a different spot now. Nothing special.”

I'm wondering how long Apple will keep on living on Jobs' memory, at some point in the future they'll have to really innovate to stay on top of things and I'm not sure they'll be able to reproduce Jobs' genius.

>Jobs' genius.

Attached: 1514350818674.png (686x955, 469K)

The cell phone functions on a completely different principle. It is a different technology because it uses something that the home phone never used, that being cellular communication. That's an absolutely retarded comparison.

iOS is just getting group notifications in 2018

think about that

>wireless charging
>Split screen
>Water resistance
oof

>this is how itoddler subhumans actually think
Meanwhile in the real world.

Attached: 1520811100252.png (868x834, 232K)

I forgot to add another thing Apple did that everyone else scrambled to do immediately after cause they are followers and not real leaders or innovators: the Apple Watch. Now you see ugly ass Android watches everywhere and that’s all because Apple decided to start making smart watches.

Learn to shit in a fucking toilet street shitter.

What's your point? Obviously he did a lot of bullshit but you can't deny he made the most successful computer company in the world, his product are still leading the wave of design, almost every new phone is following the iPhone design, there's got to be a reason to that.

Not that I appreciate the man, but Jobs was quite literally a genius of product design.

Literally everything in the iPhone is a shitty knock-off of other smartphones. see Marketing it better to gullible morons is not innovation nor invention. This is why appletoddler morons are the laughingstock of Jow Forums.

Literally what the fuck are you talking about

>Well, they create the iPhone and App Store in 2007, everyone else immediately follows.
Back then we had JVM on every single phone out there and many app vendors. The internet was also still in a relative infancy, most phones didn't have a data plan, and apps on smartphones had no place yet. Still, Jobs was against apps on iPhone, that tells you much about innovation.

>They create Siri, everyone else automatically gets a voice assistant too.
Microsoft and Google voice assistants already existed, and many others before those.

>They get a fingerprint reader, every phone now has a sensor on it.
Apple was last to that game.

>Now theyre doing Face ID, now android is doing face and iris scanners on their phones.
It already existed on Android.

>Literally everything Apple does the industry follows
True. But that's not "innovation", that's "selling 30 yr old tech to retards that don't know shit about computers".

Exterminating flash

Apple is not stupid, apple users are.

This is the ONLY good thing applel has ever done, and it wasn't even intentional, but rather because jobs was a screeching autist that got pissed at adobe for porting their stuff to windows.

Their hardware is consistently 2 years behind android phones in everything the user doesn't see. They've tricked their fanboys into thinking they bought a premium product because it looks nice and works pretty well. But when you get to the internals, the amount of RAM is lackluster as well as the battery sizes. At the end of the day they make shiny products for people who don't know any better and think their products are superior for it.

It's literally the opposite. The next iPhone is rumoured to have apple pencil support. You know who's had that for like a fucking decade now?

Attached: 1534216442090.jpg (337x290, 56K)

Good thing we now turned HTML5 into a web app development platform and require the power of a late 00s era supercomputer to do the same shit we used to do on Pentium II some 20 fucking years ago.

Hail this fucking progress that wastes bandwidth, memory and CPU cycles to exchange fucking pictures of cats, which could realistically be achieved by a Game Boy.

>uses a 6 year old picture of Android
Wow this sure is an honest conversation we're having

Samsung is the only android manufacturer that ISN'T copying Apple these days.

Good thing there's plenty other brands.

Tell me about iPajeets, why do they shit in the street?

Attached: 1514571003487.gif (500x280, 871K)

Because people are tech illiterate.

When the first rumors about a 2880x1800 retina Macbook surfaced, Jow Forums called it a bad idea because it would cost battery life and performance for an "unnoticeable" effect.

These are the same tech illiterates who thought capacitive touch screens are worse than resistive ones, or that Nokia's laggy UI was superior to Apple's GPU-accelerated one. They are frequently referred to as "tech enthusiasts" and they are all complete morons.

Attached: Apple Every Year.png (433x146, 10K)

It’s no different today than it was then it’s still ugly and hard to find stuff.

Jow Forums doesn't understand the difference between innovation and a gimmick. They will argue that lagdroid phones or ASUS chinkshit laptops "innovate," when all they do is ape Apple and add a gimmick. Like a waffle iron with a phone attached.

Samsung doesn't have a notch and still retains the 3.5mm jack.

Humbling those iFaggots!

It's true though, Google does not GPU-accelerate the entire Android UI due to bad coding which would cause memory overhead issues on budget devices, therefore no Android device is smooth

their iPads are nice but macs are overpriced for old equipment

Don't worry, China is now turned to the innovating superpower, gone are the days of only Chinese knockoffs, they realised they make everything for others so why not innovate themselves and start making their own designs and features. Just you wait, their market is gonna triple fold over the next 10 years

>app launching speed is the same as GPU-accelerated smoothness
The average lagdroid tech illiterate

>the state of itoddlers

Attached: 1529823407852.jpg (1267x2102, 367K)

Not an argument, SW loading of apps is pretty much on par with HW loading of apps due to nT Android cpu rendering performance becoming more efficient.

Actually now that you mention it's apple's stupid HW decoding that tanks battery life heavily. iPhone X can't last half as long as a oneplus 5T despite having similar battery capacity.

Attached: nexus_vs_iPhone.webm (960x540, 2.84M)

>>Water resistant
Kek

>they create the iPhone
No, they bought the project of a phone with capacitive touchscreen from benq. There were smartphones and communicators long before (symbian, windows mobile, etc.). Some of those were "buttonless" like your dumb iphone.
>They create Siri
Voice dial and control existed for a long time, though I admit they improved this gimmick a lot. Though it's nowhere close to being core feature.
>They get a fingerprint reader
no, motorola did
>Now theyre doing Face ID
Another useless gimmick, not sure for how long it existed in laptops, HP had it in 2011.
>Literally everything Apple does the industry follows
Yeah but that's not innovation. And as you can see it doesn't work. Because what apple sells is marketing bs.
Oh right, another miss
They only succeeded because google joined in. And it's not innovation, it's unfair business practices.

apps update all the time for improvements, how does one benchmark finger click video mean anything?

It's usually chinkdroid comes up with feature but implements it in a gimmicky or half-assed way--->nobody cares--->apple implements similar feature later but it but it's highly refined---->EVERY chinkdroid rushes to copy this feature since apple established it as something important

Because on average iPhones have 2 problems:
1.) SoCs are clocked higher and consume more power than what a 4v battery can pump out at 1C so they thermal throttle not only due to heat but power consumption which causes app loading lag despite HW UI rendering being used.

2.) Not enough RAM means things constantly have to reload and be prioritized to prevent a system crash. This isn't as much of a problem for a factory new iPhone but as time goes on apps generate cache which also increases over time further strangling the available free RAM iPhones to work with.

>Apple:
Pros:BSD based
Cons:Proprietary and closed software
>Android:
Pros:Linux kernel, Open-source, many custom versions
Cons:Gapps, Many manufactures use shitty custom roms instead of stock

Attached: Pictures_OF_SPIDERMAN.jpg (400x300, 35K)

Most phones with equal battery capacities last about the same if they have the same exact display. Today's flagship SOC's are all on the same playing field when it comes to endurance during equal usage, it comes down to the clock speed and how often the processor actually has to work at a full load, which snapdragons often choose not to while using a higher clock speed overall.

apple does need to quit being stingy with ram. why can't those fuckers add 4gb on a base model

No they don't. Apple's SoCs pull significantly more juice from batteries causing them to heat up which causes them to deplete even faster. Mainly due to HW UI rendering which consumes more power than standard SW UI rendering. This is why pic related is not uncommon even if the users are doing something non trivial like scrolling through twatter and facebook.

It's sad really, ever since Android went from DALVIK runtime to ART they should have focused more on efficiency rather than performance. That way iPhones would perform a little slower but have significantly better if not the same battery life as most android phones.

Attached: 1520013988194.jpg (464x960, 47K)

It's what has made them into a trillion dollar company. Selling chink trash at a huge markup is what has made so many companies insane amounts of profit. Top that with blatant tax evasion and you get pleased investors who want to ride the consumerism dragon until it violently pops.

serious question- is an ipad and apple pencil good for notes?

An app not loaded is an app that doesn't provide its services. Cry as much as you want, your phone is shit.

No. Nothing beats paper so far aside from Sony's $5,000 tablet.

what's the name of it?

Neither Apple, nor Samsung are innovating. The big names are all crap. Look at the Librem 5 from Purism to see innovation.

they copied samsung. they showed off a smartphone concept first. apple was just first to market.

but i can change that in android. can't change it in ios.

Sony something something digital something paper. Can't be too hard to find, they only make one such device.

>Apple and samsung are the only smartphone manufacturers
you have to be 18+ to post in here

No.

Apple rumored to be making watch. Samsung releases watch that looks like a house arrest band.
Apple releases tube computer. Samsung releases tube computer that looks like Homer Simpson designed it.
Apple releases home speaker, (yes, after Amazon and others do.) Samsung releases their home cauldron speaker.
Samsung captures top smartphone market share. Still needs to jab at Apple.

Samsung is obsessed with Apple.

>t. street shitter

I'm having a hard time finding a $5000 one. Is it the digital paper for $599? If so it looks pretty cool

fucking hell. thanks for that. nobody shows this

Damn, it's totally not the same, they used to make like a 16" or something, it was xboxhueg, and it did cost a couple thousands for sure. Those new ones indeed seem way more reasonable.

Having tested the expensive one, it certainly felt like it was worth it.

Portrait mode (two cameras, machine learning linking them, making fake bokeh out of cam data with ML techniques), Apple invented it in 2017, Samsung copied it.

Just as retarded as comparing Apple’s implementation of FaceID to other shitscanners.

>removing 3.5mm jack when every pair of headphones uses it
>slowing down old phones on purpose
>tracking users' every move
>charging more every year for literally no improvement besides gimmick trash

I'd say they're pretty innovative user.

It's not ugly and clustered. It's beautiful like plane cockpit is beautiful.
Everything under your fingertips. Oozes functionality. Trains your mind. Replaces computer.

I gotcha. maybe I can find somewhere to test one out

>FaceID
>implying it's not a shitscanner
They didn't actually invent any new technology. IR dot projectors have been around for years, and the algorithm they use has been invented by the Chinks before them too. Cell phones actually used a brand new technology.

Jobs knew almost nothing about computers, he was faking his way through by stealing his friends steve work and passing it off as his own.
