>window buttons
useless bloat shit

It's stupid to have those on the left side because that's where your tabs goes.

Left because I'm a leftist

Ideally in the middle.

Top left makes more sense. Since the left is anchored on the left edge, they remain accessible regardless how wide your window is, even if it is stretched beyond the width of you monitor.

i perfer this

only the closing button is required

I don't use them so I don't really care

>larger and more accessible
>close button is larger than the others as it is more used
>color coded with a large red X
>universal for over a decade
>always visible for accurate clicking, no popup shit
>clean, professional clear cut curves and design

take your faggy marbles and fuck off

Attached: 1529171094430.png (250x250, 76K)

In the middle

>use a mac

>close button doesn't close
>maximize button doesn't maximize
>minimize button doesn't minimize

Attached: 1481746843394.png (400x389, 48K)

doesn't matter, I can switch between left/right on loonix.

Leftward ho and only a single close button. Min/maximize is done with middle click and double click on the title

This is fucked up

I know hebrew is right to left but do they really need to reverse the GUI?

they should not exist

>t. iToddler
You're not making any sense.

minimize button works fine, what are you talking about?

in the center of the application, please

>writing system best for left handed
>gui best for right handed

This. Window decoration should be illegal.

>Using window buttons
>Not using the superior CWM

Came here to post this

i hate islem

Nowhere. They're not necessary. However, the more logical way is on the left. The only reason winblows and winblows clone GUIs have them on the right is because Microshit was afraid Apple will sue them back in the 80s.
>use a windows machine

>close button quits
>maximize button makes it almost maximized except the taskbar
>minimize button was alright though

While you toddlers are reaching for your mouse and clicking around, I've already closed my page and am on to the next task. i3 is the best DE

You can double click the titlebar and it will maximize (but often not properly)

There's literally nothing wrong with that layout

Windows should have better keyboard shortcuts for window movement. You have to press alt+space and then select the option you want from a menu. A core function like minimizing a window shouldn't take so many keystrokes. If you do win+down on a maximized window it first "restores" the smaller size before minimizing, and then you have to maximize it again when you alt-tab back to it. Bullshit.

Tried i3. Nice but you need to spend time ricing-it to up meet your workflow standards.
Makes sense. The left of the window bar is the appropriate spot for those buttons.

None. I use i3wm.

window decorations are a waste of screen space

This.

On the left. Everything else is on the left, why put the window controls on the right?

Attached: 1526640028439.jpg (240x240, 13K)

Left

I remove the window bar.
Alt + F4 to close applications
Alt + Right click to move the window
I have multiple desktops which functions as alt tabbing and/or minimizing.

>Alt + Right click
You mean left click. Right click is for resizing.

I never use the buttons on osx, command+Q or command+W are easy to hit (compared to alt+F4). I also never minimize anything.

it is all frivolous nonsense

>and that's a good thing!

>Using a mouse
Kill yourself

Depends on my mood and which OS I'm using. MacOS and Windows are locked down, obviously, but my Linux setups always vary by quite a bit.

That's called "zoom". Macs have no real way to maximize a window. Being able to see the clock while your window is maximized would be, like, totally stupid, right? Who needs that?

why are you here?

something i noticed way way back when i was a kid in the apple stores. This why i never wanted a mac. Same shit with ubuntu and the weird tabs

you know, real operating systems have window snapping

>the more logical way is on the left
why is that so?

Im really not autistic enough to be bothered either way

>reeeee

>window decorations

Reading direction also influences your basic instincts to look in a certain direction, so more than likely yes.
But don't take my word for it, do you really think Microsoft would do anything to inconvenience jews?

alt+left click on the maximize button maximizes

also cmd+h to hide, and cmd+m to minimize

>needing a close button
>not double clicking the upper left corner of the window

You kids and your silly window decorations these days.

>was a macfag for a few years, G4 PowerPC represent!

one thing that has stuck with me though is that I always move the taskbar to the top of the screen.

On the right and looking like this, thanks.

This is a minndfuck

Close button on left, minimise and maximise on right.

>poorfag
>builds a gaming computer and buys games
Yeah, sure.

Because on the left is everything else

>Apple will sue them back in the 80s.
But MS GUI was more different from Xerox than Apple's
Because he's a mactard, why else?

Apple was given permission to copy the Xerox GUI in exchange for letting Xerox purchase a million in Apple stock before the IPO.

>no titlebar or window buttons
>window title in taskbar
>clicking title minimizes/maximizes window
>middle click closes window

>windows machine
No such thing.

if OSX got rid of that shitty dock and used a windows taskbar (minus the clock and tray) it would be perfect.

Windows taskbar suck. The dock is quite good, they just need to have a drop down menu for applications a la OS 9.

Well that's because mac is not windows. Apple cannot into encapsulation and force people to use their abomination of a gui.

dock is stupid as fuck. no option to split multiple instances of an application into separate tab/icons (like the ungroup option in windows).

the doc icons are also annoying because they are so narrow unlike the wide taskbar tabs in windows so you always end up launching shit you dont want if you dont pay attention.

oy vey

> actually using the buttons
what are hotkeys user?

Sounds like you need better hand-eye coordination. You can split vertically.

KDE puts them on the right, so I guess I'm used to that
I don't care either way, I just like KDE

the fuck
I'm using fucking QupZilla and even I can see that shit just fine

Predictable behaviour in a GUI.
Totally alien to Windows users.
I can understand your distress at something so unnatural.
