Whatever, I’ll take a shot at it.
Snowden was a whistle blower who went mainstream because of the media. He exposed secrets showing that the NSA was spying on basically everyone on Earth through every camera and microphone in existence, and the US military was murdering civilians overseas. He stole a cache of information from the intelligence agency he worked for, and leaked 10% of the information inside of it, and threatens to leak the other 90% if anyone tried to threaten his life. He’s hiding in a Russian embassy right now, and uses the Qubes OS on a laptop to do most of his bidding. Every day he has to enter a code into a kill switch to prevent it from going off and releasing all of the information he stole from going all over the internet. If he were to be murdered, he wouldnt be able to enter that code and the information would be leaked. In a way, he’s a hero of the people, exposing corrupt government and advocating for privacy rights. However, as I first mentioned, he really only became well-known because of the media. Media coverage made the matter much bigger than it really was, which worked both for and against him, making him a public enemy of intelligence agencies and a known figurehead for human rights advocates.

However, most of this information was already available, and not much of what he discovered was actually new, just publicised because of the media. As a matter of fact, public surveillance was known about since the 70’s, room 641a had already exposed that the NSA was spying on everyone, and there had already been other whistleblowers that had revealed warcrimes. Nothing he revealed was really new, but with the help of the media, he became the public figureheard we know today.

Honestly, just copy and paste that and format it into two paragraphs and you’ll have what you need.
