It hits 800-900mbps, then just ramps up from there.
In reality, it's 900-940mbps, regardless of what speeds my ISP servers are hitting on the backend.

Which means they're testing between their system and the ONT on your property. Meaning something is fucked between your device, and the ONT (box that turns the fiber into ethernet).
Could be ethernet between the ONT and the router, could be a combo ONT and router unit, in which case the problem would likely be on your device, or the ethernet cable in-between.
If you're using wifi, make sure you're not using super congested channels or a super shitty/old device. If you're using ethernet, try different port on the router, and new ethernet cable.
Also, try more than one client device, could be a driver issue or something retarded like a fucked up NIC.

This is basically the best I can get in kangaroo land other than FTTP (when nbn rolls around next year but meant to go over hfc as well which is capped at 95/35 more or less) old hfc network overprovisioned 100/2 connection so its 115/5 and consistent at all times. $99 a month and no data caps or throttling.
