I know quite a few guys that moved there and loved it but they were mostly english teachers, no tech workers. They all loved it though and didn't want to go back. Japan is a really nice place to live from what I heard.

I have a friend who started as an engineer in a high-tech position. He got a solid salary and has five weeks of holidays in a relatively young japanese owned company. There's a big difference between him and non-tech staff in salary though.

He's spent about two years in total in Japan to study the language first and was a weeb before. He's taken all of japanese culture though, not just anime and related. By now, he's basically japanese with white skin.

I guess going to the non-shitty companies is the key here. Do you mind if I ask which company it is?

With some working experience and the right attitude, you can get a job without even knowing Japanese.
