How else do you prevent the CIA niggers from sucking up your gay hentai videos?

Yes if you are a trap (gay)

Placebo

Absolutely. I have a X200 and X60s. If you're not comfortable with flashing libreboot, there are two ebay sellers which offer the service for only $45, not a bad deal.

I want to flash libreboot on my x200 but I've heard some reports of crashes happening while watching HD videos on librebooted laptops. Can anyone confirm if that's a frequent issue?

That's never happened to me on my libreboot X200 and I watch 1080p videos in VLC and on youtube for an external monitor over displayport, no problems

Did you flash it yourself?

Not him, but I did. It's piss easy.

How old are these reports? The issue might be old, and it might be not even related to libreboot.

>How old are these reports?
Does it matter? It's not like libreboot actually gets updated.

It's a fork of coreboot, so it should be getting updates if Leah bothers to pull changes from upstream once in a while.

>It's a fork of coreboot
No it isn't.

>Leah
That's Libreboot, not coreboot.

yeah, it's super easy with raspi. but like I said there are sellers who provide the service for ppl who don't want to invest in the materials

Technically they consider libreboot to be a distribution of coreboot, minus proprietary blobs

I live in Israel. If I switch to liberboot, the Shin Bet will think I am a terrorist and poison me in my sleep. Not worth it at all.

I saw them on the libreboot subreddit a few months ago. Apparently, more than one user was having that issue.

How would they even know?

It's super fucking easy
This is a condensed guide someone wrote that installs the whole thing in literally one command that you paste in the terminal
works with the X220 as well (as of last week when I tried it)

Can't believe you've done this

solid keks

Yes, we know one of the lead devs is mentally ill. Still a great project though.

Thanks!
Finally having libreboot on my X220 is great. Feels good to be free from the botnet

Fucking gross, why would they post that
Libreboot on x220? Do you mean Coreboot? Or x200? Last time I checked you can't libreboot an x220

tfw you still have a benis and surgeons' waitlists are years long. feelsbadman.png

Supporn is retiring next year, and I assume this makes things even worse.
>ywn be a Supporn girl

Tfw the autistic tranny that made libreboot had a bigger penis than mine.

ouch

>Is Libreboot worthwhile to install?
Only if you enjoy dicks in your anus.

>trolling a libreboot thread
you're a big guy!

Should I get a maxed out T420 or a maxed out X1 Carbon 3rd gen? I can get either for about the same price.

>made libreboot
I don't think that that's accurate.

Yes goym, let the CIA nigger install libreboot for you.

What Thinkpad should I get?

You can dump the ROM afterwards and md5sum compare the hash to the source ROM hash.

No, because you'll onle be able to install an inferior OS after this.
> loonix

>had
no he has to dilate every day and rip hairballs out of his bacteria infested puss gape.

yes
t400 may be old,is okay for me

What OS are you using? Have you upgraded any of the hardware?

The hash will change because the mac address is different for each device.

How to libreboot a T60?

No shit sherlock. Simply inject the appropriate MAC into the source ROM and THEN compare that to the dumped ROM. JFC how low is your IQ?

First, make sure it's compatible. It has to have Intel and not the AMD graphics. Also, check the screen, as well. More info is on the libreboot website. If you do have a compatible T60, then it's super easy and can be done in a terminal without external flashing. It's literally just two commands.

how much do the materials cost?
I don't actually know what I would need to do this, never done any soldering before. (If it even requires that)

Most don't require soldering, only the X200s and X200t models.

>X200s
yup thats me

I think one of the ebay guys will do an X200s. I would probably suggest that if you really want it librebooted.

>paying someone else to libreboot your secure memepad

What's libreboot? Like I have Ubuntu and mint installed on computers. Is that libreboot? People can't figure out how to do it?
Format the flash make it bootable using Rufus or one of the Linux managers and run it through bios. People can't figure that out lol?

Not going to lie, the X200s is a bit more challenging. In that case it might be better to have someone with experience do it.

You're a moron. Libreboot is a BIOS replacement.

>BIOS replacement

Yeah I just googled it right after I posted that .__.
I wouldn't trust libreboot tho for anything business related

Libreboot is for older thinkpads and a few other random mainboards. I'm not sure why you would suggest using it for something business related to begin with. It's for people who are privacy oriented and want a free system from top to bottom.

Why can't I install libreboot on my t480s?

Have you actually tried this? There are so many things that can change the rom, like configurations and time, I think it will always be different.

It's not available for newer thinkpads. You can look into coreboot.

Yes I have, it's a solid verification method.
