It's partially because you don't pay for that content. Why make an in-depth review and comparison and facts check if you don't get any more than if you read a box? You might even lose sponsors (money) or the free journalistic samples if you say something negative about the product.

Majority of the people who go for English/Journalism etc are complete imbeciles. Furthermore, they usually are forced to write on subjects they have no idea about - just like majority of youtubers. Lastly, average youtube viewer isn't much smarter than a chimpanzee, would you like to scare your potential viewer by sounding too smart or using tech terms that aren't part of the gaming vernacular?
