This is my current build, I play at 1080p/60fps

My monitor is a cheap 60hz IPS, should I get upgrade my Monitor next?

Attached: fghhfghgh.png (1143x746, 78K)

Can't american cucks buy alcohol under the age of 18? Nice freedom you got there.

Not really that GPU is perfect for 1080/60fps. Underpowered for anything else. Your a retard for not getting a cheaper cpu and a 1070ti.

I love by Microcenter, I got the CPU for $199.99 I think it was with a $30 discount on the mobo to $150ish.

I wanna emulate PS3 too.

I am making a viewbot and I will need tons of RAM. Does it matter if it is DDR3 or DDR4? Will there be a significant difference? Planning to make a used 16 core Opteron + 64GB of RAM for cheap, or a Xeon alternative if I can find for cheaper.

>i7 930 @ 3.2
>6gb ddr3 1333

Should I add ram?

Web browsers tends to start lagging shit a lot, especially after I got a few windows open.

Wow thanks for helping me.

Look at your RAM usage. If you're running out, then yes, more RAM would help. It's pretty easy to max 6GB nowadays so that's probably the issue.

Under 21 is a no go

>Look I'm trying to troll people by showing the tabs I'm browsing.
>Hehehee I'm so smart, soon someone will point out X or Y site I'm browing and make fun of me. Hehehe they are so dumb... Soon someone will point out... hehehehehe I'm bursting in laugther already..... Sooon.... hehehehehe.... hohoohoh..... I can't wait....

I see two options in front of me at basically the same price
>coffee lake i3, cheap ram, rx570
>2400g, expensive ram

the former means a GPU upgrade in 2-3 years and being stuck with 1151.

the latter means dGPU next year, pick whatever makes sense in the below 300 price range (because I'm not willing to pay more for any singular piece of hardware) and pray to god it will last reasonably well into next-gen games. with an option to still upgrade to whatever will be a formerly high-end zen+ cpu.

thoughts?

I mostly need good single thread performance and a good gpu. And silence if possible.

CPU - Intel i5-8600K, 3.60GHz, 9MB, BOX BX80684I58600K
GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING 8GB //maybe drop to just 1070
Motherboard - MSI Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151
CPU Cooler - Scythe Mugen 5
RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX, DDR4, 16GB(2x8GB), 3000MHz
PSU - be quiet! Pure Power 10 500W (BN273)
HDD - WD Blue 2TB //dunno honestly but 2TB for now
Case - be quiet! Pure Base 600
I already have SSD

There are Ryzen GE embedded boards for around $200.

H60 is really really shit. May as well get a $20 cooler like the m9i. Same shit for less noise.

>good single thread performance
All modern CPUs have good single thread performance.
A 2700X has better single thread performance than the top of the line Intel CPU from 2 years ago, the 6700k.

2400g with 3200 ram imo
it's a better cpu and the gpu side runs well enough that you wont be struggling with games and when you do, you'll have money for a gpu with a cpu that wont bottleneck it

if you go with the first one then you'll be upgrading ram, cpu and gpu in a couple years which is a lot more expensive than buying a second hand 1080/70 next year

K CPUs aren't silent. Get the regular one.

>A 2700X has better single thread performance than the top of the line Intel CPU from 2 years ago, the 6700k.

Sure thing, buddy.

coffee lake i3, cheap ram, rx570
Because the next time you upgrade ddr5 ram will be out and you will have to buy new one. So you shouldnt waste money on expensive ram

Dejeet this!

Setup is 4 years old, PSU is 500w silver I dont know the exact reference.
Bought a monitor, 1080p@144Hz, I want to play most recent games at 100+ fps.
Should I upgrade parts, or sell this one and buy a brand new one? I have about $1k2 budget (I'm in France, so 1k€)

Attached: Capture.png (506x363, 21K)

dont get such a tiny aio if you want proper cooling. If you want it just for aesthetics get kraken. As and said;
>poozen
That hdd is poo. Also keyboard is literal poo, do youur 2k build a favour and use a real mechanical kb with it. Otherwise it's fine

>mechanical kb

come on, son

That's 30W difference and negligible performance drop. I'll consider this.

Anything in here I should outright replace before I bite the bullet and start to buy 'em? I've never really built my own from complete scratch, only ever upgrade hand-me-downs until they were no longer able to be upgraded without it being a waste.

Attached: PC Parts.png (1179x804, 81K)

Still not sure if I should pull the trigger on getting a new GPU, and which one:

Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB ($356.99)
ASRock Phantom Gaming X RX 580 8GB ($329.99 w/ $30 rebate)
Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1060 6 GB ($339.99)

Cooling is not as much of an issue: the Twin Turbo III in my closet would probably make up for any deficiencies, though I prefer not to use it if I can. I suppose my choices come down to:

a) Getting an RX 580 or GTX 1060.
b) Getting a cheap or an expensive RX 580, should I choose the former.

For the former, I suppose it's a matter of figuring out which is better optimized for whatever games I may play, which are mostly single-player, open-world or story-driven types with the occasional multiplayer.

For the latter, the dilemma I suppose is whether the card itself is well-made, cooler notwithstanding

I'll vouch for . The H60 was probably one of the least satisfactory elements of my build when I started out. It is the only part of my otherwise silent build that makes noise under operation. I've already had to replace it within warranty, after an unexplicable rise in temps and corrosion on the copper plate.

Only reason that you would get it IMO is for a SFF build, and that is conditional on the case in question. If it breaks again, I'm going for an air cooler instead.

Ok

There is literally no difference between a overclocked 2600 and a 8600k other than the fact the 2600 is $100 cheaper

>silent

Attached: bbe.png (1024x1024, 91K)

>Hitachi is bad, AMD is bad, Mechanical keyboards are bad
Is this just 9d trolling or are people now this fucking dumb?

Is this card ok? I'm definitely getting an 8gb RX 580, and I'm probably not willing to pay more than ~260 for it.
Also planning to put vinyl wrap on the backplate.

m.newegg.com/products/N82E16814202278

I'm wasnt sure abour cooling so kind I just kinda picked one. I'm not sure for the keyboard or mouse either. Its my first real desktop. I'm just looking for something to get me started.

enjoy your poo switches and your 50 year latency while typing, I'll be over here with a good keyboard

>latency while typing

Attached: 1460599180036.jpg (3000x1688, 217K)

I got my H60 because it was on sale, because someone convinced me that the noise wasn't noticeable (an entirely subjective metric, as I have come to learn), and because its price ranging isn't nearly as awkward as in the States. If I could do it all over again, I'd probably go for a be quiet! Dark Rock cooler. Most people seem to recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO as a baseline minimum for decent cooling, though.

a meme from 2014 won't change the fact that mechanical is superior

Disable superfetch

i3 and 570 combo is far better perf than 2400g

Can anyone recommend me some good fan replacements for the Noctua D15? I dont want the brown fans theyre ugly as fuck thanks

Always happy there are false flaggers here to pretend to be Intel shills and make the real shills look this bad.

>gen 1 cowtipper cheaper than 8700K
I know it doesn't gaym well, but I still want one just for the sake of it

reeven.com/coldwing-12

also not yellow or any ugly color thanks

>putting all my parts in a new case
>remember the hell that is trying to make the wires flow neatly behind everything

wake me up

>not saying fuck it and doing no cable management

they literally all are bad though

The retard saying mechanical keyboards are bad is a fucking mongoloid. AMD is a meme for gaming, which is what most people build PC's for here, so it's "bad". Mostly people say that because AMD shills are the fucking worst. Hitachi as user said is cheapo and has bad warranty plans. Probably works fine, but no chance in hell am I buying one

If this works reliably, does it mark the end of the gsync tax?

free labor I guess

GTX 2060 when?

Assuming they're the same price, which is better?

>Gigabyte RX 580 8GB
>Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB

Next year

Fucking hell

When RAM cost will get lower?
I don't know if get a monitor 144hz with the money or Wait for the ram price to get normal

I resent that.

Get a 1070

Generally nvidia but depends on what you play.

similar performance so take either

Get something around $35 that is decent.
Cryorig H7 or Be Quiet uhh.. Pure Rock I think it is?
Be Quiet have some models that suck, so it's hard to remember.

You can lose FPS if the PCIe lanes are bottlenecked since it has to go back and forth, or something like that.

The ASRock one is REALLY shit. Apparently it's louder than reference. Same with the Gigabyte.
Spending 5% more for a much quieter GPU is well worth it. Get the Nitro+.

Depends on the OS you're going to use, the games you want to play and if you have a Freesync screen.

What's the most possible cores I could have in a computer?

Are we weeks away from a whole new line of intel chips?
Will that include an i5, i.e. a 9400?

Just save up more money...

Whys it so >cheap compared to other 16gb ram

Attached: Screen Shot 2018-09-15 at 7.36.48 PM.png (2544x910, 228K)

As many as you can afford.

>just set up my new CPU (Ryzen 2700X) and MB (B450)
>installing drivers now
>have this nagging fear that I'm forgetting something

Attached: 1493995607280.png (300x900, 441K)

a 9400 is just a 8400 rebrand which is still worse than a 2600

I think it's just on sale. I just bought that today from my local Microcenter and the original price was like 219$ or something.

OH FUCK I FORGOT TO INSTALL THE I/O SHIELD

>just missed an rx 560 deal for 98 yuroshekels and a gtx 1050 ti for 128

JUST

>which is still worse than a 2600
But I care about gaming not 7zip score

I dont care about aesthetics, not sure what hdd to get if what I picked is bad.
I think I'll just get an h100 for cooling.

Also I'm not if theres any difference between 1080 brands.

But 8400 is already better than 2600 for games.

>games
grow up

2600 is still better, stop believing dumb intel shill memes

Attached: 8400 btfo.png (1275x714, 348K)

So I want to discuss the overstock of Nvidia cards, since I may want to pick one up used on eBay around Black Friday when I want to build a PC.

Is it confirmed that Nvidia only has an overstock of higher tier cards, so anything 1070 or above? Or did they overproduce their entire line? And then price/perf. Is going for the 1080 Ti the best decision? I calculated it at current prices and that seems to be best bang for buck right now. Dunno if I can assume an even price drop across the board as time goes on but it seems reasonable. I kind of want 144hz 1080p so it seems like a good decision to make.
